  1. :hijack: Javelins were offerd with 6 cyls (232 and 258). Last year for the Spirit based AMX with a 304 V8 was 1979.
  2. we are just pokeing fun at the seller. there are no 8ft box Comanches.
  3. I've been watching his posts for a while. He started out asking $3,500 for it. Then dropped $2,000 in one shot. Probably OK at $1,500 if it is indeed rust free.
  4. Even Wildman doesn't have one of these!
  5. The ultimate find. 8 foot box Comanche! http://syracuse.craigslist.org/grd/1453808244.html
  6. OK. Been looking for a portable compressor. Bought two tickets

    weird ebay jeep

Holy over spray batman. Half the engine bay is AMC blue. That is not an 85 258 valve cover he is sporting there.
  8. I ran a system test on my 87 2.5 with the DRB II and it came up with a 346 fault code. Anyone have a DRB II book that defines the codes? Thanks
  9. You guys do realize that there IS a feature in CP to hide sigs, right?
  10. I have a better idea. What if there was a feature in the user CP where you could choose to NOT see anyones sig? Wouldn't that be neat, huh, wouldn't it? :shake:
  11. I don't see the word 'low' anywhere. But whatever. I don't want to argue. As you said, he's got your advice and he's got mine. Hopefully whatever he decides works out for him. LOL, you're right. You didn't use the word 'low'. My bad.
  12. Um, first post, page two?
  13. still don't see where he says he has low oil pressure. just paranoid about oil pressure.
  14. Well no kidding. :shake: . He asked for advice, I gave him mine. Sorry it doesn't agree with yours. Granted, I've only been a Jeep tech since 1981, and have only rebuilt a couple hundred engines over the years. At 220,000 miles, there are a lot of items that could be ready to crap out.
  15. Why? if the bearings fix his oil pressure problem, he's good to go for a long time yet. Didn't see a mention of oil pressure problems in this thread??
  16. Why? if the bearings fix his oil pressure problem, he's good to go for a long time yet. Because he isn't doing the work himself. The labor to do mains, rods, pump, front and rear seals and t-chain & gears alone will get him a low mileage engine. At 220,000 it is getting tired. Yes boys, even 4.0's get worn out. If he were to bring that truck to me to do that kind of work with that many miles I would try to talk him out of it.
  17. IMO, at 220,000 on the clock, and you wanting a DD for at least a couple of years, you would be better off finding a lower mileage engine to swap in.
  18. why does the new one look so much longer than the old one?
  19. good luck finding a donor. If a JY with a wrecked one has a clue they will realize that the 3.0 CRD retails (engine only) for about $25,000. :ack:
  20. [/b] scored a third Silverstar wheel. One more and I can mount up my MT/R's. Boy, I wish I knew someone who had a bunch of these...... :wall: Found the last one I needed for the set. One piece closer to lifting her.
  21. No, it was just getting off that funny looking bus with all the colors on it.

    UGH

If you want your Jeep to run like a 4cyl, then just put a 4 cyl in it.
