  1. I am having some foglight issues on my 1991 and I am only finding one relay by the airbox, and it tests out good. My question is, isn't their supposed to be two? One for the headlight and one for the foglights? The one relay tests out good, and the fuse in the PDC tests out good yet I get no power to the foglight pigtails. The harness and foglights are factory BTW. Thanks! Joe
  2. What is worse than a ricer? Two ricers I suppose.
  3. I am not saying to buy this but these guys sure offer a lot of information on the Dana 20 for a Jeep. http://www.high-impact.net/transmission ... Bronco.htm
  4. If you happened to own an AMC Eagle Wagon and needed a part, he could sure track one down. 20 acres of those parts for $10,000 of scrap and the family lost their homes and other major assets to pay the bill collectors.
  5. For those that have ever used BJ's Jeep and AMC parts salvage yard in Lakewood Colorado some very sad news. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2 ... hop-close/ If you had an impossible part you needed for an AMC era Jeep or Eagle Dave Crespin could get it for you, terrible thing to happen to nice family. I know this is a few months old but I tried to contact then found this article.
  6. I would double check before I bought it(if you really want the 3 panel), there used to be another seller on ebay offering the CR Laurent tri-vent so I ordered it and when it came it was the 4 panel. When I asked why I received the wrong window I was told that CR Laurent no longer makes the 3 panel or "tri-vent". I must say though CR Laurent products are top notch and I have come to love my 4 panel slider.

Hello, Sorry didn't see your post untill now, I have the report in PDF do you still need it? If so whats your email?
  9. You don't even want to know about an experience my friend is having with a 2006 Sequoia and brake/abs issues, and the half dozen times he went to the Toyota dealer for the same problem. They offered him market value which would leave him shy over $7,000 on the car loan. He is working with Toyota Corporate to make up the difference but it is not an easy process. My point is I don't think this is soley a GM problem, the market sucks right now and no manufacturer can build a perfect vehicle. Trying to get satisfaction on a vehicle that is difficult to re-sell narrows the dealers options to help. I feel for you pingpong, you paid a lot of $$ for that truck and like anyone else that buys a HD truck you expect it to perform and have longevity. My brother works at a Nissan dealership and he says he sees the same type of thing on hard to re-sell vehicles. You might get the dealer to buy it back at market price and try to have GM make up the difference? With rust issues I don't think it is something that can ever be fixed so you deserve a new vehicle or be reimbursed the money you shelled out.
  10. Many of our JY around here were in American Canyon, but now that it is considered the gateway to the "Napa Valley Wine Country" I counted six that have closed shop and the land is being used both for "residential and comercial" which says a lot because the cost of moving contaminating soil is outrageous.
  11. I have the Rancho 3 inch lift and my brake lines work fine without extensions. The rancho kit came with LCA's so no tire rubbing on the American Racing Outlaw II rim with 31 inch Cooper STT's.
  12. hmmmmmmmmm Nice find! It's been about ten years now but when I first joined JU there was a pic floating around of an MJ with the waggy grille and wood siding very unusual!
  13. Thanks Brent! Now that is Jeep Service! My brother is the parts guy at a Nissan dealership so I had him call the local Jeep dealerships and they had a different tune with him for about $13. $8.60 is a bargain for anyone that needs one of these, and next time (if it is OK with Brent/Taz) I will PM you for a part.
  14. Thanks! It's over 90 here today and for the next serveral days it will be more or the same.
  15. Where are folks buying these resistors? The dealerships in my area say they can't get them, and I tried at chryslerpartsdirect and they said they aren't available right now.
  16. A friend of mine got a little shook up (in San Diego) but she said it was nothing like the 1994 quake. She said this one rolled more than the other one in '94 "shook". I know when we had the Loma Preita back in 89 up here it was kind of a "rolling" quake.

    Charles, PM sent
  18. I have heard of cooking eggs on the sidewalk but cooking chickens on the highway is a first.
  19. I like it as well, reminds me of the old Jeepsters but those had ladder frames.
  20. Excellent tips Pete and Mountianrider, A licensed and trained protection specialist would likely be known to the cops around here and they would respect that. The average law abiding citizen that might decide to have an unloaded pistol in plain site would likely be considered a "thug" by both law enforcement personnel and the "thugs" themselves. It would be a terrible situation to be in. One thing I want to add to Pete's and Mountianrider's tips is I usually do not sell popular items over $100 on Craigslist like Ipods and Iphones. I know it is hard for us to believe but in many places our trucks aren't popular enough to steal so selling a less popular vehicle on CL isn't likely to attract riff-raff. When the PS3's first came out in November of 06 we had a rash of robberies involving CL transactions, and some Honda's, Subarau WRX's, and a number of Toyota's remain very popular toys on a thief's wanted list. For those of you wondering why someone like me might be so paranoid, my City "Vallejo" is currently the largest City in our Country to file for Bankruptcy, and record numbers of our Police Department have left the City for greener pastures, and right now the press at large has put the "blame" on public safety unions so attitudes of our City employees have soured and thugs that have been emboldened by their exodus leaves the rest of us in a precarious position.
  21. Cops got real ichty trigger fingers around here, they get nervous when folks pack. 80 percent of the transactions I have had on Craigslist have been good, I just wish there was a way to improve it. I know a rep system like ebay or a mandatory money source like paypal would drive a lot of the small time folks away, but I would wager the overall buying and selling experience would improve.
  22. Most deals are like yours;however, I had a variant of a deal like yours. Guy shows up, I show up, guy proceeds to offer an even lower amount than agreed upon the phone. I guess it could be worse, one could show up with money and guy shows up with gun and takes money.
  23. That's why we call it Dregs list out here! Mixed in with the good sellers and buyers you have tire kickers, low ballers, con artists, and the worse a bunch of "cowboys" (from the movie Scarface) that try to rip you off.
  24. Who would ever think of doing THAT???? :D Jeff Hahah it's cheap and it works!
  25. I don't have this kit so I can't comment on personal experience but according to Don it was "bolt on". I would imagine you would need to run power or "splice" into an existing power source. The manual regulator from a four door cherokee 1984-96 should work. If you wanted to go power windows and locks using a cherokee donor I ahve heard some folks here suggest swapping in the entire door.
