Sounds great! Now those year seats (earlier) will bolt to my MJ brackets without issue? Just want to clarify RockMJ -

Old thread revival, but I was looking at something like this a few weeks ago myself. http://www.rstruck.com/store/mcart.php?ID=140 Or... http://www.andysautosport.com/chevrolet/1982_1993_s10/exterior/bed_accessories/tailgate_locks/pilot_motorsports/ Just some ideas I came across. Hope that helps anyone in the future RockMJ -
Dude any chance you could snag me the moon visor off of it! I would pay you for your time and for it :D RockMJ

The One Millionth Bucket Seat Question
RockMJ replied to RockMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah, I'm looking for early model ones. Ive been looking at the direct replacment seats from Rugged Ridge and the underside of the seat looks completely flat so I'm a bit confused as to how its for earlier XJ's too being as they had the angled portions for the two rear mounts. I give up lol RockMJ -

The One Millionth Bucket Seat Question
RockMJ replied to RockMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Tyler, Yeah thanks man, I had seen that a while ago and had it bookmarked. I was laughing to myself earlier about how much of a PITA the bucket seat swap is lol. Its the last thing most people think about when working on a car. The damn seats! I am trying to locate some early XJ buckets on CL without luck so ill keep looking on the forums too. Ive looked at the diagrams of the brackets and it looks like the straight XJ sliders are nearly identical to the MJ bucket brackets. And I know this is a bit of a moot point for everyone on here, but the seats are holding up me finishing it and driving it finally! I can't wait RockMJ -
Hey guys, ive searched and searched and I just have a simple question if someone can answer it. I just received a set of MJ bucket seat slider brackets from a buddy on here and I was trying to make mounts for them to work on the 97+ XJ seats with no luck. I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to make them work so I'm trying another option. With that said, I am looking for XJ bucket seats to mount on my MJ bucket slider brackets. Question is, what year do I need to look for and will they bolt directly to the MJ slider brackets? I refuse to cut up or modify the MJ bucket sliders so I'm looking for the easiest option here. Thanks guys RockMJ

Tried like hell to figure out a way to mount the MJ bucket seat brackets to the late model XJ seats. No luck so I'm scraping that idea and trying to find XJ or MJ bucket seats :fs1: RockMJ

Registered, insured, and titled the MJ! I can now drive it! Well, once I put it back together I can :D RockMJ

Just watched the video. Rocking the dubstep eh? Its funny because I produce the stuff haha! Nice vid dude RockMJ -
I should also mention that doing all the Herculiner/POR-15 made the Jeep "sound" more solid when closing the doors and the tailgate. It doesnt sound like a tin can anymore lol RockMJ
-
Awesome dude! Thanks a ton for the links! RockMJ

Just finished up Herculining the bed, interior, and tailgate. I also modified the OEM LJ tire carrier I had left over from my last Jeep to work in the bed. I also drilled it out for a 5x5" BP that my new wheels are as well as being able to go back to the 5x4.5" BP. Works damn well and it didnt cost me a dime even with the spare grade 8 hardware and paint I had lying around. here's some pics RockMJ

Awesome! I plan on ordering this up very soon! For me, I have a LiteDot LED license plate bracket left over from my LJ so I will just put some self tappers into the bumper and be good to go RockMJ
-
Made some serious progress today. Herculined the bed, bedsides, tailgate, and interior. Once it dries the interior is going back together and bucket seats will go in this weekend! RockMJ

I use JF for selling and buying, thats it lol. Even their ZJ section was way off base a few years ago when I was on NAGCA all the time. I take JF with a grain of salt because it is a pretty big forum, and with size comes the inherent risk of a sh*t ton of false info and tons of "experts" RockMJ

My gasket was in good shape so I used RTV and resealed the window in all the corners. Worked great RockMJ

Going to take some measurements tomorrow, but its looking like this one is the closest to what you were talking about? http://fairchildind.thomasnet-navigator.com/item/standard-weatherstrip-trim-seal-products/glass-run-channels/item-2851? Thanks again man, and I couldnt find "Style 20" on their site but I did from the manufacturer RockMJ

TeamCherokee.com sells them but its something like 180 bucks for the two. Its completely absurd and thanks for the link man RockMJ

Looks good man, and just an FYI, most companies don't ship their shocks with dust boots anymore. Mainly because they fill with water and cause the shocks to corrode. Honestly, your better off leaving them off. Nice to see another FL MJ on here :D RockMJ

Hey guys, I'm looking for the vent window rubber where the window rolls up and down. Both sides are missing on my MJ and I'm tired of the window rattling around. Name your price but I need ones in great shape, no dry rotted or cracked ones please! Unless they are free :D RockMJ
