My only comment is don't let anyone talk you out of running the VSS. -
What is it out of?

Fuel pump ground

I'm not that old or crusty and I don't Tapatalk. I'd rather look at the full page on my phone than have it different and weird. Get it really cold first by putting in the deep freeze, and then predrill the hole. -
Liner isn't nice paint, it comes pre-ruined for you.

These fit the stock holes. With the flash from the camera you can see where I blacked out the wiper logo. They're complete generic, tons of them on Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/Amarine-made-Waterproof-Marine-Rocker-Switch/dp/B0727X2CHK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1524719936&sr=8-4&keywords=rocker+switch&dpID=41HeDfNIx8L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch Finding ones with the lettering you want can be a challenge though.

You're doing the whole truck? Please don't. But if you do the whole truck to a thickness that it's actually tough, it will be 100lbs at least. A proper spray-in box liner is easily 50lbs for a short bed truck. If you're talking about doing the box, you do want to prep and paint the rest of the truck first as it is nearly impossible to mask a line against bedliner. The only way around it is to hide the edge with bedrail guards.

How do the filter efficiencies compare between the two?

Lada front. No idea what it's called.

PCO6's Expedition Trailer Build
DirtyComanche replied to PCO6's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
This forum doesn't use normal BB code, but if you insert normal BB code it will change it automagically to it's own flavour. However, it looks like Expedition Portal doesn't either, and whatever weird code it uses isn't recognizable by ComancheClub. -

Fuel pump ground

I forgot about that one. Wonder if I have a username there? -
I was at the dump unloading a bunch of trash into the bins and a guy with a newer Dodge Ram pulled up (3rd gen) and was like "Wow, cool truck, you don't see those anymore! I'll trade you for mine right now!" I said I couldn't, I had more money into this truck than he could imagine.

Fuel pump ground

This forum is way more helpful than any of the actual Cherokee forums. CherokeeTalk... Totally dead over there, only a 4 people with XJs post. JeepsUnlimited... Actually dead, as in they pulled the site. Jeepforum... Lots of people there, good luck getting an answer out of them though unless you've got questions about roof top tents. Reddit... Uh, it's Reddit, it's skinny jeans and the man buns. NAXJA... Okay, you might get an answer there, but it's more likely they'll ask why you would need to find the ground and recommend that you find the positive wire instead. Pirate... Not everyone enjoys being called names. So yup, it leaves here. -
Canadian's Comanche, let see your truck and location !!
DirtyComanche replied to Red 1989 MJ's topic in Canada
Highway 16 basically dissolves into nothing when you come in that way. You're supposed to turn left on Victoria, but the better route is to turn left on Queensway only a couple blocks into town. Otherwise yup, you wind up going over the Cameron Street bridge, then you're over by the brewery and get turned around, then you get onto Highway 97 and go back to the actual junction of 16/97 in the middle of town. They've talked about a bypass route and fixing some of that... Hasn't happened. -
MJ to YJ Conversion Q's
DirtyComanche replied to gilman711's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Look into the clocking difference on the tcase with the Wrangler transmission. If you're okay with the potential fitment issues then you might as well steal that engine/tranny/tcase and use them. I would swap the Renix accessories onto the HO engine, and either adapt the Renix sensors to the HO intake or just throw the Renix intake on (use the Renix intake/exhaust gasket). The bonus of this is you will get to embrace the superior fuel injection system of the Renix. The rest of the YJ just isn't really useful. -
My Dakota bumper looks like crap.

I forgot to replied to this, Prince George actually. Vanderhoof is the center, but they're just a suburb of PG. That picture was taken somewhere farther east, Bowron River area. Right on. I like Terrace, it's on the short list of places I would live. -
MJ to YJ Conversion Q's
DirtyComanche replied to gilman711's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Recommendation? Sell the YJ junk and get an XJ for a donor. YJ D30 is leaf spring... Waste of time to use one because you need all the 5 link brackets. YJ HO engine could be used, but you pretty much need a HO XJ wiring harness, so again, a donor XJ is a better choice. The YJ trans has the tcase clocked at a different angle, not a bad thing but not always what people want. You will need the XJ tcase shift linkage anyways, or to build your own... Again the XJ is a better donor. People pay way too much for rusted YJs, while rusted mechanically good XJs are cheap... If you're sold on using the YJ parts I would keep the Renix fuel injection and just swap the trans and tcase in (or the whole engine too but adapt the Renix controls to it), and then part out the YJ or trade for an XJ front axle. -

Looks like April here! Cool to see you're still enjoying this thing. -
It's oddly common on forums. I think the theory is so the OP can't confuse everyone (including mods) by changing the title after the fact.

4.5 Rusty's Long Arm
DirtyComanche replied to drewsky_87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Tell him it's his fault because this is a known issue and he's too lazy to update his literature. It is NOT just the Peugeot tranny that uses the forward mounting location.- 37 replies

Yeah, that's a steal.

I'd just ask him to send you the correct arms and leave it installed as it is.- 37 replies

4.5 Rusty's Long Arm
DirtyComanche replied to drewsky_87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm fairly certain you needed the shorter control arms. You can tell by looking at what set of threaded inserts you crossmember installed into from the factory, there is 2 sets of them (4 inserts total) in the bottom of the frame. You have to cut that extra cab brace (extra compared with an XJ) to install a bracket setup like his with the crossmember in the rear set of inserts. If you take the brackets off and look, I bet you will see the other inserts... They may be packed full of undercoat or mud though.- 37 replies
