BC is nice, but some things are more pricey. Anyways, do you just plan to convert to 4wd, or to lift/wheel it too? You might be better off getting a SYE and a double cardon driveshaft for the rear now instead of sourcing a stock rear driveshaft (which will be hard to find) if you do plan to wheel it a bunch at some point.

Not with mild steel. Which is the case here. But I don't like sawzalls for that type of thing personally. Although, I have used them for it before. And I shy away from cheap disks and such. We have a place here called 'princess auto' which is pretty much the same as HF, and the flap disks from there are lethal. They explode during use.

You could use a RE small flex joint. But polyperformance sells a bushing you could use I think.

Don't own a good grinder? I have a nice dewalt 5", and if I put a high quality wheel in it I can cut through that stuff like butter. Maybe 15 minutes to remove them and clean everything up so you wouldn't know. Otherwise I have no idea what it'd cost. With a torch it could be done in a couple minutes, probably under the minimum charge for a machine/welding shop.

I started it without it a lot, bad habit from driving an auto the rest of the time...

So I guess this thing got dropped off at my parents house. I haven't got a nasty email from them yet, so it might be okay. At least I remembered to tell them that a jeep might show up out of the blue... I seem to recall telling them it was in 'alright shape' and wouldn't vastly decrease the property value. I'm not sure if that's true or not. Back off tour in a week... Maybe do a week in the hanger... Then I'll go see what this thing is like.

Oh jeeze. And I bet you also think the clutch has a purpose? :nuts: I powershifted the hell out of my puker. I don't think that was the deciding factor. I think it was the clutch dumps from 4k rpm. Maybe. But you can't really be sure, other than my tranny dun work right anymore...

My guess is not really. As a strip only thing, yeah, sorta... But most guys don't drive a 4oh/stroker like that.

Hmm, I'm on a tour, and here it is only about 14* C as a maximum... Not gonna convert that, but it's fairly chilly. And it's windy/rainy every day. Nothing like what you're seeing.

I've broke that white plastic insert a couple times. I pulled it right off power shifting more than once. It's annoying. The shifter knob itself is fine, but the insert is junk.

I get about 1000km off 120L of diesel... Wanna figure that out? Okay, it's about 19.5mpg. Sometimes better, sometimes worse. That's with a cummins 6BT (5.9L) in a 6500lb truck. But, that's highly irrelevent info on a comanche forum, eh?

It's suprising that there is not more V8 XJ/MJs around. I only know of a handful. It actually seems to work out decently. I mean if you can fit a BBC in a chevette, it really ought to be a breeze.

Just a FYI, if it's ment to bolt onto a 4.0L cherokee, it'll work on a 4.0L MJ. At least as far as underhood stuff goes.

Pirate4x4 has gone down hill. There used to be tech amongst the a$$holes. Now it's mostly just a$$holes. And I can't say that I like many of the other communities. Some I skim through but rarely post.

He thinks because he spent 'X' amount on it, that it is worth "initial purchasing price + X'. Which it isn't. I don't think it'll sell at all. It's nice, yeah... But not my thing. I hate the tire/rim combination for some reason, and I think it's lifted a bit much too perhaps.
