  1. That's true Photoshopping. The trail where the truck is pictured is well wider than depicted (Even only by a good foot or so). The photo was literally cut and pasted to get what we see. A schweet Jtruck sporting some awesome Warn gear.
  2. Sweet! Rock the 2-3!
  3. Wanted a Jeep since I could speak. Thought TJ's were King Tits till I started my paper route and oddly enough, the FIRST MJ I ever saw was the same one I bought on July 23rd of 2006 - not on that timeline though ahaha. It had been atleast 10 years since I first saw the '89 SporTruck and then the purchase of it. Onto Jeep 3# now. 2nd MJ
  4. 19 Double-Decade on Aug 23rd
  5. First off - Welcome to the club! Second - Nice truck- looks really clean Third - The wobble you've found can be caused by many issues - Get down and start tugging on steering components Trackbar and tierod/draglink. Any movement means worn out joints and bushings - replace and enjoy
  6. Best Post Ever ^^^^
  7. I spy some Canuckian Currency on that Rubbermaid lid. :D
  8. Yes. Its not even a XJ wheel mounted on a XJ column, the ZJ column has a different level for the tilt, is smaller, and only has one control stalk. This is very clearly a 96-98ZJ column. Y'know what? I never took a real good look at that wheel. Observation owns me :dunce:
  9. Totally seems to me that the column/st wheel and guage cluster are that of a 97+ XJ
  10. Cool. Stay tuned for the MJ crushing it before the final tug to the scrapard!
  11. anybody? Seriously. Nobody has $.02 on a GM automatic trans?
  12. My beater $#!& its trans last week. Did a fluid change and it was a burnt metallic soup. I have 1st and Rev. Before and just after the fresh fluid, I still had 2nd gear. At one point I noticed that it never plopped into 2nd. I'm not sure if it has $#!& 2nd or the metallic soup caused a further issue. 1989 Buick Century Custom. 3.3L has the 4spd automatic. I'm not sure on its name Thks folks
  13. yup. totally swappable
  14. I take it drinking takes place after the pool has been shot, no? :clapping:
  15. I want to rig up a TCC Lockup override switch. How do I go about doing it? truck is in my siggy.
  16. The straggler rule is in play here. Ive seen up to '88s with Vbelts, Ive also seen '87s with Serps. Neither of them had a certain setup as per options.
  17. Auto? Prolly be offset rear (Quadratrac Tcase)
  18. Yes boys, there is a lady in the house. Mind your manners :chillin: Jen, the 89's driveshaft *should* fit when you stick an AW4/242 in there. Don't quote me. The '86's stock shafts will be WAY too long. And JeepCo is bang on with the crossmember fab bit. Car Ramrod did the swap, a bit of information could possibly be pryed from him.
  19. Yeah, that'll work. If you're taking the trans too, just find an AW-4/NP231 out of an XJ or something like that and stick it in. Driveshaft mods ARE going to be nessesary. But before you pull the trigger on that deal, check your Jeepkings PM plz.
  20. I was hoping you'd swing over this way, listen to these guys. They know their stuff. :clapping:
  21. It already has been. Jeep is owned by Chrysler, and Chrysler in turn has been owned by Daimler-Benz, while they owned Jeep. Daimler-Benz is German and therefore overseas. I sit corrected! I just want another MJ, 2010 model :)
  22. Jeep is the cursed company. Misbehaving Foster Child per-se. How many companies have played the Parent Role over the last 50 years? IMHO, Jeep will become the first domestic company owned by an overseas company. Anyone want a Jeep made by Honda?
  23. Feasability of cutting down an '86 2.8L 904 auto rear shaft? I have one available for bastardization :chillin:
  24. Its already 3" and still SUA in the rear. The Shaft *has* been lengthened for the 3" of lift. Still have the slipyoke too.
