Star wheel adjusters for rear drums

no can do eagle. Ive already lost all the parts and my driveways frozen to the point I can't safely pop the tires off. On the 8th of Jan I'm going to purchase a new set of adjusters and everything, as the star wheels are toast. all worn off. my brakes are fine *knock on wood* for the moment. -
I want snow, more snow. there's a rough 3" here.

problem was it refused to start. yanked the batt out, set it to charge on a digital charger. was reading 0.0v for an hour. took it to crappy tire, tested it 3 times. failed twice passed once. guy said it was a dead lead, got a new batt under warranty. everythings good now. -
I did some running around to day (drove 50+ km back and forth, then went to a few stores) and I noticed my turn signals getting slower, my lights dimming and it getting hard to start. my battery is sitting charging right now, how would you test an alternator without starting the car to see if its working?

Star wheel adjusters for rear drums
Kenosha Warrior replied to Kenosha Warrior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
X2 Make sure they are turning in the correct direction. The knurled-wheel end of the adjuster should be on the "front" side, and as the adjuster plate pushes on the wheel, it screws the adjuster clockwise to expand it. Jeff uh.oh.... Ive always installed them with the (on the pass side) steel wire running from the centre post around the clip on the rear shoe to the rachet clip, which is in the rear shoe, and the knurled wheel is closest to the rear shoe, not the front one... is that the wrong way? -
Star wheel adjusters for rear drums
Kenosha Warrior replied to Kenosha Warrior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
explains why my ebrake rarely works eh cole? problem is, its all brand new hardware. like.. maybe a week or two old when they fly apart, new springs, clips, adjusters, shoes, whole works. I'm not slamming on the brakes hard, and when I adjust them before I stick the drum back on, its barely sliding on, nice and tight. -
mine keep falling out.. in the last two months, ive replaced the shoes, adjuster hardware on each side 3 times, because the little bracket that serves as the rachet assembly keeps falling out, in turn letting loose that spring, wheel adjuster and adjuster end cap to destroy my shoes. I've been driving for 3 weeks without them, do I relaly need them? please no 'chuck the d35 or go disc replies, I don't offroad, I just drive, so the d35 serves me well.

Window stuck down Help
Kenosha Warrior replied to sinned96's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
my pass window on an old xj would just drop and dissapear if it was put down more than 3/4 of the way, so I stuck a piece of 2x4 in the door so the window will just stop on the wood, and not go past 3/4 :) -
the mem would only run at the max of the pc. you stick 2 1gb DIMMS in there, it'll read as 768 on the pc.

I'm a HS student working at a call centre.. I drive an MJ for a reason :D Ill look into it, there's a new 4x4/horsepower shop here in town, they have all the good stuff, and they recently held an event to beat the hell out of a 'kitty 4x4' Ive got some pictures on my cell ph. $5 for 10 swings on a motor-blown H2 :D the owners of the shop all have nicely rock-rashed YJ's and XJ's. plus a nice flatfender thats on for show in the shop.

I'm thinking about running it, its just I need a name of some sort, like Jimmy's stupendous DOT-5 brake fluid :brows: the drone at crappy tire looked at me like I had a tire sticking outta my forehead. your from canada and it might not be called dot5, because that is the US department of transportation, so it might be labeled as something else in canada, but try looking for a silicone based fluid. it will probably be the most expensive too. its still Dot3-4-5 up here too. Stick with the norm is really why things are named the same up here.

you had your links so long that they wrapped down to the next line.. nobody noticed this > ................................^ right there... notice the space? thats what it was, except your link was like this img]httpblaf.goof.abcksajdflk;sfd;ljksafdlksafdasdfsdfsdfsdfsadfsadfsdfsdff [/img] there is a space between the last f and the closed image tag. to eliminate this error... open notepad.. fully type your link like this heep://www.servname.blah.com/piccy.jpg[/img} (with proper image tags of course) turn off word wrap. just copy-paste the link into the post window > perfecto links every time.
