Owners manual states you take the stock bottle jack handle, insert it into the hole between the bed and bumper, turn CCW and it lowers the tire down, I got mine off by cranking it CCW till it wouldn't move, then beat the snot out of the tire and assembly, tire fell down nice and fine.

You're dating yourself, Mate. I thought I was the only one here old enough to remember those jacks. taht means nothing, I'm 17 and I know and remember bumper jacks :P we tore ours apart and used them for other projects.

It's raining here in TX, too. I'm having a wet Christmas! I'm in Ontario though, it should be snowy here :( and I think I got snow tires for the MJ for xmas >.<

I know.. I love how I can have my tunes blasting and still hear to shift, check noises, ect just I threw down some creme coloured industrial carpet with a rubber floor mat, make it look a little nicer, ya'know :D Oizarod, I know whatcha mean, I can do the same thing. I hven't stalled it once!

only time jackstands are 100% is when they're stuffed under the front wheels to block them :D

I'm' not goin'a forget that in a looong time.

I had been adjusting my brakes, and when I slammed them the 3rd time, I heard a bad grind, so I stopped. Tonite I came home and jacked the MJ up without blocking the wheels, I thought.. oh its only one side, my ebrake is on... mistake, I couldn't get my drum off, so I went, threw it into 4th and popped the ebrake. you all know what happens here, just a jack and no jackstand and no wheel blocks. :chillin: a 1/2" groove in my driveway and my mj on the ground with nothing but the drum holding it up. :mad: I got it all back up on stands, blocked away and such, then yanked my drums off.. 17 year old hardware = both my adjusters are sheared in half, wheels worn right down, siezed, ect. In the process, I dropped vice grips on my knuckles, cut a slice outta my arm, dropped my tire on my foot. so much for a merry christmas :)

if you would set a convoy from T.O. I'm 2hrs east, in Belleville. I'd carry supplies, Ive got a bed topper and would be more than happy to carry spare parts, gas, tents etc. sinnaved, I know, I'm exaggerating. I'm trying financially to get situated so I'm not 'poorer than fk' for college RRSP's ($100 a paycheck) 1/3 of my pay is dumped into a savings acct. depending on when the pow-wow is held, I may use my tax return to drive down :D

my MJ would never make it offroad... but if I could get down to the pow-wow could I ride with someone? I'm a poor highschooler too, so heading to the Pow-Wow is costly at any rate for me, setting the MJ up to wheel would be bankruptcy

I lucked out, PO had running boards, my rockers and such were fine. I undercoated the hell out of it and I'm not worrying about anymore rust. Some of us are just lucky, that and I rammed 4x4 boards into my framerials before I redid my floor.

Correct...or so I thought. Jeff all I care is that the dash is black, and so are the seats. I'm going back to yank the dash (just the bezel, not the gauges, as its got idiot lights like my own)

guy at work has one, parked the mj at his rear end.. he's about 1" wider than us.

Ive been running the last week with my exhaust dumping from my ailing cat welded to a 3" piece of exhaust pipe clamped to my manifold. No muffler. The pipe is 4" dia (off a 454 chev blazer tailpipe) Loud as hell, but I don't see any power reduction, low end power loss, ect. then again, its a 2.5l not a 4.0

no switch,, just lights. I yanked it apart to look for a swtich.. nothing.

ever notice how most times whenever you spot a really cool, unique vehicle. Its something that hasn't been made in years and has a slight cult following? you never see someone make a dually hummer, why? other than the obvous that hummers suck, 'cause theres so many its just dumb. Plus, Comanches pwn Hummers :D
