BEAUTIFUL red Eliminator on Ebay
Bonkers replied to relyt120's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Elims in 91+ were 4x4 AND worth every penny of $6500 in that condition. However a repainted 89 would cause me to hesitate... Id really need to see that in person before bidding... -
SWB Rollbar NW DC... $700
Bonkers replied to Bonkers's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I asked about the axle too but didnt get a reply. If i wasnt working another deal this weekend i would already be on the road. Figured someone here might have better luck... -
I know a guy who had the whole front assembly for sale in Wilmington. Wasnt asking much, but didnt seem to want to part it out. You want I to inquire?

That hoss lost my business on an Ax15 last year. He quoted me $400 for the swap, but when i emailed him back about coming to pick up it suddenly became "By swap i mean everything but the shifter, transfercase, crossmember, linkage, and clutch." I asked him how much for "everything" and never heard from him again. Also i have no idea where Delta is since he posts in baltimore and PA craigslists. Be smart.

Minnesota is quite the ride... Ive looked into shipping front skids over the Mississippi and usually its not cheap enough to consider, however i will keep it in mind...

What looks like a MJ AMC20 in Tampa
Bonkers replied to Jeep Driver's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Whats special about an AMC20? -
Thats Codys auction and he will likely get it. The last batch he sold was in the $500 range. I'm actually surprised its still for sale. I could have sworn the mini console and horn were included, but the seat, dash and carpet were too far gone... Either way, wouldnt hurt to send him an email if youre interested. He needs parts for his own truck...

You took the prices down in the ad BTW...

If it helps i have a $500 standing offer to buy a complete black interior since June and havent had a single lead develop from it. Be very careful though, people are getting very skilled at dying pieces black (which may be an Option for you if you don't care about originality...)

Tire question - Why wouldnt an LT235 fit?
Bonkers replied to Bonkers's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well I have always run P235/75R15 on my Michelins and Bridgestones, and TireRack, TireDirect, and Amazon all list this size as fitting my Mj in Goodyear Wrangler Radials (which I am currently running) among others. But P235/75R15 in Wrangler RS fit, but LT235/75R15 DuraTracs supposedly do not. Is anyone here running the 29" DTs on their stock wheels? My concern is that the stiffer sidewall somehow prevent the tire from being mounted on the wheel... or something along those lines.... -
I've spent most of the day reading reviews on various tires since the (used) Wrangler Radials I put on didnt exactly wow me during this last snowfall. I pretty much decided on the Wrangler DuraTracs but when I enter vehicle information all the sites agree that "these tires do not fit your vehicle..." blah, blah... LT235/75/15's - only differences are higher PSI max (30vs50) and LOWER weight capacity (1958vs2028) but other than that they seem on paper to be near exactly the same tires. I don't exactly have my heart set on the DuraTracs, and Ive had great experience with the more expensive Michelin AT2s on other vehicles, I'm just confused to whether I missed something?

'89 Jeep Comanche - $750 Charlotte NC
Bonkers replied to Bonkers's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Not mine... but there are 5 in PA under $1k if you look. *sigh*... this forum is for the cool stuff you find online that isnt yours ie Craigslist, ebay... ect... -
Its not CC - its jeepers in general. We all think our Mjs are worth at least $3500, but none of us will every pay over $1500 for anything less than exceptional. (if you'll excuse the fishing analogy) My rule of thumb - decide honestly the least you'd be happy with, tack on $500 and throw the line in the water. If you get bites you're happy. If you get a real bite you're well with negotiating numbers. If you get nothing you are WAY too high. Oh, minnows love anything that hits the lake so expect guys like me to come for a hail-mary lowball offer - cuz, well, you never know these days...
