I'm Bert my rig is an 87 comanche, her name "ant no cherry" things i've done stroked 4.7L, D35 front ARB locker, 6.0" rustys offroad long travel suspention, D44 rear spool spring over axle, costom axles & shafts with 4.11 gears, 35" mud rovers, frame 12" shortend, bedsides tubed 15" shortened, cab full DOM cage inside, fuel cell and battary relocated to inside the bed, WIP radiator relocation into bed, electric waterpump installation, front fender removal/modification for tube installation, brother's building a 400small block, talking subframe and motor swap, 4 wheel 11" disk brakes future D60 front, 12bolt rear, rear shakle swap to 4link, and finally 44's "one bite at a time" B..

  9. Friday afternoon 1. Mechanical fan/shroud removal, addition of two 10” 1,550cfm electric fans mounted directly to new three core radiator, first starts at 180, second at 195degF... 2. flow-thru coolant bottle removed and thrown as far as I could, hoses replaced strait to heater core, and finally installation of dodge inline fill spout adaptor ‘radiator cap’ with 16# cap… Results Truck still got stuck in Indiana mud down in the creek, with water in the floorboard about 3 inches deep, but awaiting a pullout in 90deg weather engine running temp 185 to 197degF while idling, ‘I’m happy’ but still testing, more results to come… B…

  11. One afternoon while wheeling mine also developed a pinhole in the tank, from my local hardwere store I used fine sandpaper and PVC cement, contenued wheeling, later replaced it. "it must be clean, and oil free to setup" just a thought… B...
  12. Kelly /Eagle First thanks for the feedback, just thought 220 was too warm while wheeling, i'd just like to see it under 200-210 all the time... Second have ALL new mounts, just the torque is enough to cause the top of the fan to hit the shroud, didn’t want to start an argument, just a question The question is simple when I go to total electric would you recommend running a shroud or not??? My MJ’s live as on road is over, I hall it to where I wheel… B…
  13. as i rod it the motor twists more, thanks about the 220 not being bad, all my gauges are digita so it gives me something to look at and worry about, just overthinking it?? again thanks... B..l Actually it could very well be related to the fact he has a stroker. I'd try some urethane motor/trans mounts. That would be the best solution to that problem IMO. How? The stroker uses the same block and the same peripherals as a stock 4.0L so HOW could changing the crankshaft and rods inside the engine make the fan hit the shroud?
  14. Running a stroked 4.7L with stock cooling system, problem Gets hot ’220+degF’ rodding in deep mud or hard trail wheeling, otherwise around 180-195degF Even with new motor mounts the mechanical fan rubs the shroud, SO I want to remove the entire old cooling system install new radiator without the flow-thru bottle, install A dodge inline fill spout adaptor ‘radiator cap’, and new overflow/recovery bottle like any other jeep, Two 10” 1,550cfm electric fans and custom shroud My question Go with the shroud utilizing only the fans cfm’s or without and get better blow-thru?? Note my MJ is offroad use only, no highway speeds… B…

  18. my question I want to move my radiator into the bed and is it a good idea to relay on just the electric pump or option 2 run both manual and electric pumps together the info in the kit allows for both wht's the best??
