Help this guy win some new shoes! (really, shoes)
lostissues replied to shelbyluvv's topic in The Pub
Yea I just read that in his post, it would be pretty cool to get 12 pair of shoes for free. The thing that sucks about this is that it no longer has anything to do with who has the better picture its now all about who has more clout on the Internet and who can convince more people that they should win not necessarily because their pic is better but just from the fact that they asked so many people to vote for them. I don't know, just my 2 cents. Jonathan -

What exactly is a 1 year supply of shoes? for me that would be one pair. anyway one pair of free shoes would be nice. Jonathan -
My bother in law (jackel18) picked up one when it first came out and I got one a few weeks ago. they are awesome fun to play with. now that there are not to many rocks outside without that damn white stuff all over them it means its time to do some mods to it and make it even better at crawling. Hope you have fun with it. Jonathan

Best way to do it is if you have a cargo light, run it out of that. the other way I usualy do it it put it on the front of the roof in the center, run the wire under the weather striping (hopefully you can, i havent looked at the striping to see if it will fit) then run it down the side of the windshield under the striping, then jump the gap between the fender and the door jam, pulling the door weather striping and putting it behind it, then repalce the weather striping CAREFULLY so not to crease or damage the antenna. then it should be in the cab. hey sorry to hear about your ashtray, Unfortunately I know second hand that people can be a$$holes. a lot of the time when they try to steal radios and realize they cannot get them out they just steal the faceplate just to be pricks. I work just up the road from the tech and used to attend there also. Do you happen to drive a lifted black Comanche? if so I saw you driving down Loudon road one day, you were at the stoplight just before Burger King I was driving the other way in a silver Subaru 2.5rs with a carbon fiber hood and rims, I liked the look of your rig but didn't want to give the thumbs up cause I always feel like people will just think "the ricer kid is being an @$$ and making fun of my truck" this is the reason I will put an alarm in my truck (when it is finally up and running  ) no matter what it looks like, if there is a blinky light and possible loud noise between a thief and "his" 68 cent booty he will most likely look for another less noisy target. damnit, thats what i get for not reading it carefully

For you you will need the following. Fender x 2 Header panel fender flares x 2 Bumper end caps x2 Bumper Bumper brackets x2 Headlight bezels x2 park lamp x2 marker lamp x2 grill In addition you will need to other find used or dealer source the antenna assembly, its different, but will plug into the MJ antenna line. the hood does not need to be changed, nor does any of the body, there is a bracket which attaches the fender to the headlight bucket, but it is not necessary, and can be bought cheaply at the dealer. do you also need the newer fender brackets? towards the front where they mount to the header pannel?

This is one of my top two that I have been looking at, the other is Nates4X4.com either the slimline winch or the recessed winch, but I cannot decide between the two, But the JCR quality and warranty are pretty tempting and may win out in the price difference war. Jonathan

use to play all the time, then got bored with it, too many 50/50 battles that went in the other players favor. now its COD4 at least till Gears 2 comes out. Jonathan

If you cut off the back of a WJ, they look like a Dakota pickup... I had a die-cast car and a dremel, kinda disappointed by the outcome of that one. Jonathan

the doors should be exactly the same. I'm in the same boat with you and fab/welding skills. I just cut off the window frame and then trimmed lower on the inside skin, then folded the outside skin in to create an arm rest. I was going to weld that to the inside door skin but as me and my brother in law found out... we suck at welding sheet metal. so I may just pop rivit the fold on to hold it there and put a large piece of abs plastic to cover it up a little. I don't have a pic of the inside and its only folded over at this point but here is mine. Jonathan

Got all confused on how it all happened, but after playing with some toy cars I think I figured it out. so where the cop is parked is where she came from? she went straight through the intersection and hit you as you were turning? I think thats it if not is back to playing with the cars for me. Also that sucks, make the insurance company buy you 2 more comanches. **EDIT** yea that also. **/EDIT** Jonathan

what about chopping down an extra set of doors to make half doors. thats what I plan on doing. you don't get as much of a view but it will be a whole bunch cheaper. Jonathan
-
you could spend them on welding lessons, you know "you give a man a fish..." I wish I knew how to weld that way I would be able to make my own stuff and not having to keep paying people to do stuff for me. but seriously they do look like nice doors. And I have no idea what the price is on these kind of doors but 350 doesn't sound too bad. Jonathan

So they wanted to turn the volume on the horsepower up to 11 Jonathan

Will this make my butt look big?
lostissues replied to lostissues's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
cool, thanks for the quick reply. The leaf packs I'm going to use are 4wd packs. because of the amount of lift you said a spring over should get me I will probably not use shackles if thats possible. I will most likely not put in the Cherokee shackles because there is no sense in going back down, only up from here :brows: Guess I will just have to go for it and see how it turns out and the go up from there. Thanks, Jonathan -
here is a sad sight I saw at a local junk yard: Jonathan
