i don't fab professionally, it is a labor of love. i will not build a bumper for you, i will help you build one if you come to me with the metal you need, you can use our tubing bender, nocher, & welder & fab your self something that fits your style & comanche. as for 35's it a big step! hard on your steering, sway bar, track bar & front axle. trim & set your bump stops & gears = you can't go over 4.88's on a front D30! & 4.88' is not full potential for 35's butt if you are still interested in A NEW BFG BAJA T/A 35x12.50 on 15r i have one for sale? Do NOT use a silicone like around this it will cause rust. Brandon :agree: no need for silicone to install these hood pins :hmm:

1989 comanche ax15 bleed clutch?
mj Mike replied to bthomps875's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
:agree: ya, on my clutches they grabs at about 1/4 to 1/2 way. -
toke me 4 to 6. no lift & no air tools put jeep on jack stands, remove belt, remove alternator, disconnect track bar , disconnect steering @ the pitman arm so you can get as much droop out of the suspension as possible, drain the oil, remove the oil pan, i clamped a pair of vice grips on the crank to break the bolt on the balancer, use a puller & remove the balancer, remove the timing cover, clean the timing cover & oil pan, clean engine block, add RTV & new gaskets & reinstall. Sounds like a nice afternoon spending quality time with a 12 pack. bring a friend lots of :wrench: to go around!

The ones I installed were very simple, plug and play, I didn't even have to modify any of the original wiring. So I can go back to stock, if I wanted to, at any time. :agree: you could go back to stock, if u wanted to! H.I.D's need the full 12V's. on my MJ i had to add a piggy back wire harness to support the stock ground wire W/ 14G wire. all the local jeep er have them, 4 xj's & 2 mj's. one of the XJ's had less then 12V's in his stock head light harness. this = a HID light show. like a strobe light. we had to make him a aftermarket head light harness so his parking lights & interior lights work on the stock head light switch & his H.I.D's have there own circuit W/ full 12V's.

this is mine w 6'' lift on 31x10.50's  to small for this much lift if the jeep is mainly for show but you will do some off roading but nothing crazy just maybe a little mud and hunting trails. Then stay with your 3'' lift, you will be able to do all that & more. and fab up or get some rock sliders & transfer case skid, new sway bar end links, adjustable track bar, & maybe steering. it will be Bad @$$ MJ. i am not telling you what to do, but keep in mind

What is the HID Color Temperature? Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a light source, in this case the HID bulb. People not familiar with lighting may believe that the higher the Kelvin the brighter the light will be, this is false. OEM car manufacturers equip their cars with 4100k to 4300k HID bulbs which produce the most daylight-like light output. Lower temperature like 3000k will produce deep gold-yellow color, suitable for fog lights. Higher color temperatures will output light with a hint of blue/purple like the 5000k - 6000k bulbs, higher rated bulbs will be bluer and eventually purple in color as you go up the scale. Color temperature is what usually catches your eye when you spot an HID equipped car on the road. The Kelvin bulbs will appear "brighter" to oncoming traffic, but in reality they output less visible light onto the road.
-
What is HID Lumen? Lumen is a unit of measuring the light output, brightness, of a source. Traditional low-beam halogen headlight produces 1000 – 1200 lumens, while HID outfitted headlight outputs around 3200 lumens. 4100k - 4300k is the ideal HID color temperature to produce the maximum amount of light, lumens, hence the reason while all OEM manufacturers equip their vehicles with these types of bulbs.

Why go with HID? * More light output, up to 3 times when compared to standard halogen bulbs! * Wider road coverage, HID beam covers up to 70% more of the road in front of you! * Long bulb life, HID bulbs last 5-10 years under normal usage! * More efficient, more light while using 24% less power. * Luxury look, you know you're guilty of this one, nothing beats that nice HID look on the road.
