  1. 2" spacers on the front, shackles on the rear, no rubbing.
  2. Wish I had of thought about trying that one.
  3. 2" lift with 31's, might get you in the ball park.
  4. That is awesome! :rotf:
  5. You might be able to clean some info from this thread my son started a couple of years ago on JF. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/jeep ... ia-320730/
  6. Bubbles is the man.
  7. Look at the ball joints, CA bushings and axle vacuum lines while your under there. If your not wheelin it I don't think any upgrades are necessary, just replace worn parts and drive it. The only thing I'm doing to my front 30, that may be considered an upgrade, is replacing it with a non-disco hp30.
  8. My senior portrait.
  9. My new 88 Pioneer Big Ton. I've wanted an MJ for a long time. Finally found the one I wanted and the owner actually needed an ATV so we made an even swap for my 02 Honda Foreman. I look forward to hanging out here and talking Comanche. Donor Cherokee
  10. The exact thing happened to me on a Cherokee. I called 5 min after the add posted but he said I couldn't come by until 10 the next morning. He assured me that, since I called first, I would have 1st dibs if I was there at 10:00am. I drove an hour to his house the next morning, showed up @ 9:50 and a guy was loading the Cherokee on a trailer. The seller was in the house(which was probably good) so I called him while I was driving off and let him know what I thought of his selling tactics. Also posted a Reply to his CL add telling everyone what a lousy seller he was. I doubt it did any good but at least it made me feel a little better. :fs2:
  11. Drive shaft modification, good point. I was thinking I would swap in the XJ gauge cluster too, so I guess I will need to use the donor pump/sending unit. I should have been more clear, I'm swapping everything but the rear 44. I have a low mileage,44 Trac-lok and 3:73's from a TJ I'll be putting in the rear and putting the regeared, XJ non disco 30 in the front.
  12. I have a 88 Pioneer Big Ton, 4x4 manual, with 230k miles. The motor is decent but I'd like to update with a HO version. The donor is a 94 Cherokee, auto, with 83K miles. My plan is to replace the entire drive train, wiring harness, ECM, etc. By replacing the entire harness(dash forward) will I run into compatibility problems, or problems in general? I have the FSM's for each truck so I will be able to slowly get through the swap but I'd like to get any insight from people who have done this before.
