    Bad Day

Rotten luck for sure - Might be time to try & make a little lemonade - Make sure to save the highest repair estimate/valuation of the MJ - Don't know how you file taxes but if you itemize you may be able to use the payoff difference as an uninsured loss - depends upon your adjusted gross - BTW how's your neck feel? Have you mentioned the law offices of Dewey, Cheatem & Howe to your BIW? - - - LOL 2nd part's BS - Tax thing isn't :smart:
  4. I love 'em all & have the waistline to prove it - - - - -
  5. Dish washing products typically have the highest percentage detergent of the house hold stuff - Laboratory cleaners like "Micro"(my favorite) are almost pure detergent with no foaming agents. Use with Soft/distilled/deionised water-Makes a dif - -This time of year I collect condensate from my homes AC units for cleaning, battery & anti freeze stuff - - - - I use compressed air before vacuuming carpets & have cleaned some horribly stained/filthy minivan carpets at the car wash - Just clamp 'em in the floor mat holders & it's magic. Good Luck :wrench:

Finally! Testimony that gold WILL corrode - - Can't wait to show this to the Mrs - Maybe this'll stop the whine about her wedding rings turning green.
  7. I like nice interiors & have done a bunch over the years - What I've found is that Blues/greens can be really hard to color match/swap - Greys & tan/brown no prob - White or Black; Duh! Burgundy/burgandy usually no biggie - Haven't found any thing yet for the Jeep maroon; nothing that suits me anyway. NICE - DARK & COZY - IMO GENIUNE FOX WOOD DASH Image Not Found THE FINEST SIMULATED CORINTHIAN LEATHER Image Not Found DD - MY SHOP FOREMAN

    RUST

Was in my VFW the other day with a couple of my closest friends doin' the glory days thing & hit on a new to me thought about a possible rust cause. Both mi amigos are '65 seniority retired chrysler assembly & they got to talking about how hot it could get on the line. Gist of this story is human sweat as a rust starter - They had no idea how much sweat was shed when they used to crawl around/over/inside depending upon the work station except that it was lots when things were miserably hot - They also said nothing was done to effectively relieve the heat until newer assembly means, robots mostly, needed cooler operating temps for their electronics. - - - Worthless info, I know, just something I had yet to stumble (pun?) upon.
  10. Care for some gopher? Image Not Found
  11. The way I bought it a few yrs back - Never noticed until I saw the other post - Ditto for the cab vents - Had my shop foreman, DD (pronounced DeeDee) put them right - She's in the 2nd pic - She used to be Store Mgr at local O'autovance but got let go - - Overqualified - - :wrench:
  12. I missed the pwr sliders also - Don't know if I'da bought but would have spread the news - According to eBay info they were listed on July 9 & sold on the 14 & 16th - Sold to the same person & they were the sole bidder both times - I do a EB Comanche saved search, ck it every day & never saw 'em - Curious - - - Might have to cut back on the Miller time - Anyway, Might be worth seeing if the seller would put a guy in contact with the buyer - Never know
  13. Wish I could agree about how things used to be - Don't think they've changed a whole lot - Grew up inna small town South of St louis big enough to support a few rip off joints - Enough population & the creeps don't have to worry about repeat/reccomendation - My uncle was the finance man at the Ford dealership & their shop was an embarrassment to him - Their only competition for slow/sloppy/don't giva * quality work was the Chevy dealership - - - A few years back my wife told me unluckily she had a flat that afternoon but luckily was right by the service center not far from our home - The amount she paid horrified me - She naturally ruined the tire by driving it flat 1/2 mile or so but the INNER TUBE also?? On a 2005 Town & Country? Took her van back - got told she agreed to it all - tried diplomacy - tried a threat - told go for it - went outside & called highway patrol - went back in with the Trooper & accused the creep of theft by deceit & got refund, new & very reasonable price for the tire only & major BS about the misunderstanding - I declined their offer to remove the tube - back outside the trooper thanked me for the call but wouldn't let me borrow his revolver for a few; did say that my complaint was one of many they'd had but I was the 1st to press charges - He also declined helping me siphon gas into a pepsi bottle & no he didn't have a light for the wick(I don't smoke) Told me to go home & he seemed to be in kind of a hurry - musta been near end of his shift. - - True story & of course the trooper knew I was joking about the gun & molotov. Next day after my long time SC removed the tube & did the balance thing I returned the tube & they weren't happy to see me again - Neither of us could keep our mouths closed & I wound up offering to shut his good'n proper - He wouldn't let it go - A little guy & you'd a thought he was the meanest thing ever the way he ran his mouth - He grabbed my arm as I turned to go & that was it - - - Dirty fighter-bit & kicked somethin' fierce for a guy his size; couldn't a weighed more'n 150, wheelchair & all - oh well. :fs2:
  14. Trouble at the Little Rock High School - Bubba and nearly the entire student body had gathered outside of the superintendants office to protest the upcoming graduation. Bubba, captain of the football team six years straight and the most popular boy in school had once again been left off the list of those receiving diplomas. The superintendant was about justify this decision when it occured to him that here was an opportunity to be rid of the biggest, dumbest PITA pupil any teacher had ever. "BUBBA!" he said, "You, like most, absolutely deserve a second chance - So, upon passing a general knowledge exam you will be allowed to graduate with the others. Now then, who was our countrys first President?" After a moments thought Bubbas answer was Lincoln. "Good Lord" thought the Supe just as a murmering from the crowd became a roar of "Giv'I'm another chance-Giv'I'm another chance-Giv'I'm another chance" "Certainly, certainly" said the super as he thought "let's see him blow this one" - "Bubba, who was our countrys greatest president?" "Uhhh, Clinton?" - - "Giv'I'm another chance-Giv'I'm another chance-Giv'I'm another chance" howled the mob. "GFL" was the unchristian like thought at this turn & then "Bubba, this has been unfair - Politics are a subjective matter - So, allright, a scientific question - How much is two plus two?" - - "FOUR!" (dramatic pause) - - - "Giv'I'm another chance-Giv'I'm another chance-Giv'I'm another chance" :smart:
  15. Never should have landed on the moon. Keep thirsty, mis amigos
  16. Should not be short cycling - hard on compressor & clutch - 40 deg indicates the compressors doing its job - new compressor? If so, correct type/amount oil for r12? When everything's new can be tough to run down - Jumpered the high & low pressure switches? - could be faulty cut out switch - continue to do it if you increase rpm to around 2K? - New expansion valve? - Got a FSM for the thermistor values? Tried using temp control to raise output temp a little? Still do it if blower motor is set to next to high? :hmm:

    BAD

Two guys are way up there just about to finish painting the steeple of an old country church way out in the sticks when they discover they're going to run out of paint - Rather than go after more latex they decide to empty their water bottles into the paint remaining and so what? Way up here - Who's gonna' notice? - - Thunder rumbles just as the last brush stroke is applied - The sky darkens and a tremendous down pour washes away all of their work -- Then the clouds part - A sun beam focuses on the two and an earth shaking voice from above commands them to: (dramatic pause) REPAINT! AND THIN NO MORE! :rotf:
