  14. There's a pretty good Seinfield episode covering this - - - Should be able to research it on IMDB - - - - - Back when sideburns became fashionable in late 60's my pretty much hitstute buddy Terry came into our favorite pub one evening clean shaven except for his SBs - - - - He left his SBs continue down his neck, the ends of which was covered by a button down collar shirt - - - His attire was completed by a pair of bermuda shorts & tube socks - - - - He had also shaved his legs except for a strip about an inch wide on the outer leg side which came from under the shorts & disappeared into the socks - - - -Said he was gonna claim the Guinness Book record for worlds longest sideburns - - - Gotta lotta laughs & caused a minor stir on campus for a few.
  15. Paradise's got it right - - - Just get it clean/dry - - - clear coat should be auto uv resistant type
  16. Paint them - - - With high gloss clear - - - I've Duplicolor rattle can'd dull dashes before using satin/semi gloss & shot 3 r 4 dozen hoods & trunks using high gloss clear - Way before it was called top coat - - - Good stuff'll stand up to UV - - Should last for years. I've never done this to tail lights but don't know why it would be dif from any other material where the surface refractive index is wack.
  17. You don't see them very often, at least not on an MJ - - I 1st noticed them while shopping online for door panels/cards for pwr windows & then in a few interior pics here & there - - Went to my FSM & there they were - - My low optioned 87 came without them - - - The PO was well into his 60s when he bought it new, drove for 10-12 yr & it sat until one of his heirs sold it to me - - - Manual window door panels were never off & I seriously doubt the PO ever removed just the armrests & tossed the bezels - - - Maybe the Line workers were using them for poker chips, LOL - - - Anyway, I'd been looking for awhile & they're not commonly found online - - - Since so many more XJs were made you'd think these things should be way easy to come across - - -Oh, well.
