  1. there is a bolt you have to remove on the engine compartment side right in the middle of the big block connector. its not visable its hidden up in there and it takes a 1/4" socket with a extension.
  2. 1993 was 23 spline and YJ/TJ t-cases are clocked higher. I think crossmembers were all the same they have 2 different mounting locations on the frame rails
  3. Stock is 15-1/8 inches from hole to hole, the axle end is 2-1/8 inches wide. and the frame end is about 1-7/8 inches wide
  4. Ok this is the upper portion of 2 door cherokee rear wheel opening. it doesent fit perfect but its really close. I think i can get it to look factory if the welding doesent warp it to badly. I don't know if I'm going to flange it or butt weld it in but its going to get a coat of por15 when its done! Image Not Found
  5. yeah you can rotate the filter adapter its bolted on with a T-60 torx bolt acording to the madXJ site here's the link http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical/te ... ersion.htm
  6. I just got my HD 3" rustys coils on my comanche and it lifted it about 3.5" and i found a great deal on shocks on ebay (scratch & dent and discontinued) http://stores.ebay.com/Superlift-Suspension-Systems ($10 superlift shock, $9 for Black Diamond shock) BUT the shock they list for a MJ with a 3" lift seems to be a little short. it mesures 24.67 extended 14.79 collapsed. my jeep is 21" from shock mount to shock mount. figuring out what shock i need with there charts is giving me a headache! i thought i would share the link and maybe get some help finding shocks for mine. and i can't flex my jeep out and get working mesurements because it don't move :P just looking for something that i can extend more than 3.5 inches without maxing the shock out
  7. remove the tailgate too! when i lifted mine off the tailgate end hit the ground cause it was heavyer lol.
  8. I was using 12 tons... The driver’s side floor is rusted out along with the rocker panel. But the passenger’s side is rust free. Doors seemed to rub the same amount on each side though I’m sure the weakened drivers side structure did make it flex a little more than it otherwise would have. The uniframe its self is rust free!
  9. I had that problem when i relocated the perches on my YJ. I'm sure someone sells spring pack bolts that have a big head on them. But i just turned a piece of round bar stock in a lathe to make a "spacers" then i brazed them into the big hole on the perches
  10. I used 2, Put them directly behind the lower control arm mounts
  11. I put my Comanche on jack stands today to get all the 2wd crap out of there. And get ready to swap the D30 in the next few days. And when I went to get a ratchet out of my truck the doors rubbed badly! I have read about the "Cats back" on high centered XJ's. Well I didn’t feel like having a bent Comanche so I just stuck my 3" HD rustys coils in it and took it off the stands for now. I'm going to wait till i have everything so i can get it done in a day. Anyone in here ever had this problem? Is it a bad idea to leave them on jack stands for an extended period of time?
  12. i wouldent just weld a mount to the front of the bumper. if you have a boxed bumper run it through the back side. bigdaddy offroad sells some nice mounts http://bigdaddyoffroad.biz/xcart/produc ... 255&page=1
  13. pull stright out on it, it will pop off
  14. it will only work on the High Output 4.0's the pre 91 stuff non HO renix injection
  15. A chat room would rule! If there were people in it...
  16. after spending all weekend looking on the net i finely found it its a INA bearing part number SCE108. Timken and BCA bearings share the same part number its a $4 bearing :D
  17. I took a pic the bearing is inside the end of the outter shaft on the disconnect side. the cage is busted and about 5 rollers fell out. Image Not Found
  18. anyone know the part number for the bearing inside the passengers side axle shaft on the Dana 30 with vacume disconnect? i can't find it anywhere i don't know if I'm looking in the wrong places or what 4wd hardware don't list it. quadratec don't list it. its the bearing thats in between the 2 shafts on the disconect side in the outter shaft. i posted this earlier but then i thought i found the bearing but it was the wrong one so I'm reposting it.
  19. HeadOn apply directly to the forehead! HeadOn apply directly to the forehead! HeadOn apply directly to the forehead!
  20. Whenever i hear about death wobble the letters XJ ZJ TJ are usually involved. i never had the problem on my YJ CJ7's. My friend had it on a 99 TJ with a 2" budget boost it turned out to be a bad leaking steering stabilizer. I didn’t think something as simple as a stabilizer could cause death wobble. i have ran leaf sprung jeeps without a stabilizer at all with no problems.
  21. I'm going to patch it I'm not that great at body work but I'm sure that patch will look better than a rust hole lol. That "exhaust tip" is a piece of drain pipe i sild over the exhaust to keep my dog from runing into it i might have to get it chromed though 8)
