  1. Now Comanche needs it's own windshield Easter Egg lol
  2. Your only almost cool owning a Comanche until it has one of these...
  3. That's cool if you can keep it hidden other than a stock look!
  4. Same with most Jeep fest, tons of Jk's and JKU's with 10's of thousands spent on by the look at me crowd whom never seen a trail end up getting over shadowed by a few select cool CJ5 & 7's lol
  5. Buckets for me, bench just takes up too much space, our truck interiors are tiny enough. Plus driving a stick I feel more in control when hugged by a bucket seat.
  6. You audiophiles crack me up, as small as the MJ cab is, it doesn't take an expensive sound systems to get decent quality sounding music. And I've never heard anyone riding in my vehicles ever say...."you know, your sound system sounds like the clarity and highs aren't just quite up to......" lol Plus, I'm old just too old school I guess, give me a decent radio...Alpine, Jensen, Pioneer or Kenwood(yeah just those) and some good 5x7 or 6x9, maybe some smaller 5" rounds and I'm good, no amps no fuss, loud as hell, plenty clear for my heavy metal. * Not saying I don't appreciate the degree some go to for the finest system possible, but I don't want the attraction for theft. * Now when I say old school.....My CJ7 is getting a non BT Jensen with a "Power Booster" 10 band 200w from the 70's new old stock.
  7. I usually wire one to two kills tied into one switch, distributor hot from ignition(no spark) and ignition to starter solenoid(no crank) and I use a relay with inline fuse, may be overkill with the relay and fuse but protects the circuit from any accidental shorts. And don't forget to mount the toggle switch on the dash labeled "kill switch" which actually triggers an alarm that can't be shut of with merely switching it back off, thieves are so stupid! Don't leave new wires underhood exposed, run them into an existing or new wire loom so not obvious.
  8. Might be bad to say on this site, but I'd trade the MJ for a J10/20 any day of the week.
  9. just picked up some nice 5x7 speakers to go with the Pioneer, nothing fancy, $20 new/open box, gotta have some decent tunage lol, don't know how it played anything with the original speakers, paper element barely existed
  10. Soon to be delivered new-NOS vintage still sealed in original plastic amber fog lights for the MJ
  11. plenty on Flea-bay
  12. yeah, more of a Wrangler event, but hey, I see all kinds of Jeeps going to these things, doesn't mean you can't have fun I guess, just too far for me to consider it.
  13. Plenty of people on Marketplace and craigslist getting pics of their vehicles copied by scammers
  14. Now, modify a longbed ranger or S10 bed and Comanche tailgate to fit our trucks, problem solved lol. I may have already found a solution, through a local vendor
  15. I checked many of them online(measurement specs) none will fit the trapazoid shape of a long bed Comanche, closest to fitting any was the shortbed ranger to shortbed Comanche, and the most recent can't confirm Colorado/Canyon. There are a few 7' shortbed Rangers, but ours is 7'-6" long
  16. good news bad news.....good news- Truxedo WILL make them for the long bed, bad news- not for the sport bar- good news, I'll have pricing fairly soon, bad news- can't buy direct have to go through one of their approved vendors, good news- I'm talking with one of the vendors now who will contact me in the next probably 48hrs or sooner. I informed them there may be a few of us wanting them depending on price, so maybe we can get a price break, I'm thinking those of us who want to utilize our roll bar may find it easier to find someone to modify a fitted cover designed without the roll bar than rather than try to make one from scratch.
  17. I know they are expensive, but I will contact a few Marine/boat upholsters since I live right at Lake Erie and there are a few here. Here are the dimensions minus roll bar cutouts for anyone attempting this as well. *Long Bed Inside dimensions of truck bed, exactly 88" in length id. 90" OD front ID dimension 56-3/8" rear ID dimension 55-1/4" only have approx 1" ledge on front where bed meets cab, same at tailgate. 2" available top ledge on sides.
  18. No problem, we have short bed owner that might benefit from your info, since Canyon I'm assuming the Colorado as well. GMC/Chevy I've contacted Extang and J&R 2 of the biggest tonneau companies whom use to do customs, but no longer do, no longer have the skill set employees nor can find anyone who can do that kind of work. Awaiting Truxedo's response who still does customs, my fear is it will be cost prohibited no matter who does it, but I will ask them about longbed without the roll bar for those who don't have/use one.
  19. that appears to be a shortbed so maybe a solution for those
  20. Just contacted a company that makes custom covers, gave them full dimensions and pictures, awaiting their response, will continue to deep search for others.
  21. same here with roll bar
  22. Wow, did a decent search on anybody who makes these for long beds, no one, even those who use to like Downey, are out of business, even called one of the largest manufactures of them whom use to do customs(no longer does) Extang, no luck. So if anyone has any suggestions, I'll research them, but at this point I may buy and oversized one, one that cutting the aluminum channels down to size will still allow them to fit together, then have a marine shop or upholstery fabricator modify the oversize cover to fit. I have one Amish connection here in Ohio I'm going to reach out to and see what he has to say. I'll update as I find info, in the meantime, toss out all ideas or suggestions.
  23. Damn, just measured, 90" inside length by 56-3/8" id front by 55-1/4" id back, no other truck even close
