These situations will go the way of the dodo bird as our generation passes, not very many younger generation care for classics of any kind, if it wasn't for the fast-n-furious movie franchise, even muscle cars were getting little to no attention.

Comanche Tonneau covers(Sold)
Armyvet25 replied to Armyvet25's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Depending on how well the one I ordered fits, I will still be going down to the shop that will do customs to let them take the necessary measurements off my truck, also closer to spring. -

Well, I have the ordered tonneau, arrived about a week ago, but will be spring before I do anything, cold, and I have another bed to replace my rusty one, so I will update when I can. -

Found during valve cover gasket install
Armyvet25 replied to NC Tom's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Confused about what statement I should reconsider, like you I believe the OEM system is the way to go, I'm actually doing preventive maintenance with a flush and reinstalling an appropriate style replacement. Unless you think the world will end and my beer will sour -

Yeah, I prefer to have mine operational just to keep the heat down in the summer, even ordered a replacement already, will probably install a temporary T fitting in it's place first to flush the system good then remove and re-install the new valve, Will the world end and beer sour if you don't have it....no, but it does serve a purpose. -

I'll take a picture of mine today for visual reference, if it is the HCV it normally has a lever that open/closes an inline fitting of your heater hose going into the core, and like he said, the pinkish vacuum line operates it when you adjust your cab selector from hot/cold. -

Heater Core Recommendations
Armyvet25 replied to Blaine.D's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That sucks!! I re-checked the listing, only says made with durable materials, no mention of copper but the picture clearly shows a copper one, I think I would be on the phone with them, they're a pretty professional company from what dealings I've had with them, I think I would have them looking for a copper replacement. But I'm sure it's a good one. -

Speaking of rust buckets, I'm in negotiations with an 89 MJ for $3-600 depending on him, trying to save another from the scrap yard which is where he was gong to take it. -
