thoughts on a 5 lug 12 bolt Chrysler 9.25 from a Dodge Ram, everything I've read says better stronger than Dana 44

looks like the same thing on fleabay goes for around 12 bucks and almost 5 shipping, it was kinda cool seeing 40+ year old uncut keys of all types -
to be honest, in current configuration I'm not worried about the D35 as much as that poor old 2.8, I won't be going to the 33's till I get drive train and axle ratio worked out
-
not sure, current is either 30...somthing or 331 something....I want 3:73

Was just over a friends house who had me go with him to another car nuts house to pick some parts up, the guy had an old fashioned key cutting machine with loads of keys on the display rack, and had a good deal of original AMC gm style square and round keys, originals with logo AMC and all, gave me 2 sets wahooooo -
was just adding the info, figured it wasn't all inclusive, since the D35 in my Comanche has bolt on's, and won't be rock climbing, I should be good with 33's

some info on different axles sought after for replacement axle comparisons

um, you were looking at 17" tires, what rims were you going to use?

The CPS is responsible a lot of times for this, and rarely throws a code -

had a guy I was talking to about his Comanche asked if I would take pictures of my console area so while he's trying to source one know what he was looking for, and as mine is pretty nice and complete I sent him pics of it, I'll post them here as well to help anyone else whom might be interested. -

woof woof bark bark aroooooooooooooooooooooooooo...this dog won't hunt. Wow, what a turd...the 2.8L I'm talking about, took it for an extensive ride yesterday to give it some exercise as it has sat too much in it's past 6 mos, took me a while to get use to what shift points I need just to maintain a decent stop to stop light accelerating in traffic. Once I tach-ed it up to at least 3k sometimes a little more it was tolerable, but even first gear needed to shift fairly quick like it was all done after 10-15mph. And I use to think my 2.4L in my TJ was a little anemic...nope, it's a gone dawg racecar lol. I know the crappy carb and needing a good tune has some to do with it, but engine sounds healthy when moving along, just the slowest no power-mobile I've ever driven in my life, I can see a nice GMC 3.8 V6 or Chevy 305/350 Dodge 318 in it's future for sure, with a good NV3500 behind it. I did enjoy taking it out though, but won't get much use till I get some stuff done to it, unfortunately other Jeep projects have priority over it at this time, but won't be forgotten. And Damnnnnn, it marks it's territory as well, have to get it a diaper for now. -

I haven't but think I might order one before I need it at that price and copper. RockAuto is at least known for carrying quality products. Will be on the shelf for whenever -
What is the D35 width on a Comanche axle from wheel to mating drum surface to opposite drum surface distance?

It's hard enough to diagnose a shut off remotely, an intermittent one impossible, keep plugging away checking the fuel pressure when it does it, keep the tester with you, also, if you have a spare coil swap it and see if problem returns, but still does sound like fuel starvation, maybe an injector going bad as well. -
I'm not worried about-em, long gone on the XJ I traded to get my MJ

check with local radiator shops, may rebuild yours -
what about the less splines but beefy amc20? Supposed to be in actuality stronger than D44 even though most won't acknowledge it (adding 1 piece axles)
-
soooooooo, might just keep my D35 and install 4:10's since I'm only going up to 33's
