Ft Carson, I was stationed there. sold my truck before completion, but a Sonoma tonneau cover is almost an exact fit, i even still have the one i purchased, now I don't need it.

Ok, gotta tell a funny story relevant to this topic... I had a 77 grand prix, power windows, passenger side sometimes went up or down, sometimes it didn't, figured the motor was worn out and needed replacement, this was correct, but...17 year old me and broke as egg shells on halloween night, I decide to drill out the rivets(some are screwed) and see what actually wears out slowing down window motors till they eventually stop. Brushes...yup, the carbon wears out till they lose contact, bright me thought, a brush is a brush right??? and I had taken an alternator apart before already at this age and new they had them inside and I had an old junk one laying around so I took it apart...hmmmm, problem, this brush is way to wide and long as hell, but, it's carbon, so off the grinder I went making it the right kind of narrow to fit in the window motor, the the copper wire was thicker as well but didn't affect anything...or so I though, I soldered it in, reassembled the motor, installed in the door, after a couple times up and down for it to settle into the armature and...HOLY SH%%, IT WAS THE FASTEST ANY WINDOW IN THE WORLD WENT UP AND DOWN, THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO SHATTER IT, and we're talking a rather large heavy window mind you. so I don't know if it was a combination of the brush or heavier gauge copper wire or brush composition or what, but nothing ever compared to that window, not since in 40+ years lol. Any ideas why??? I'm all ears.

It's my second TJ, no issues with either as far as height and comfort, the Comanche requires me to tuck my chin to my chest, this is with factory seating, all the way back, just not comfortable getting in/out, plenty of headroom once inside. I like the Comanche, but I'm more of a full size truck guy, still love my regular cab long beds though

no, I traded off the Comanche, I'm sure it would have worked, tonneau was from a sonoma, and was within an 1/8 of an inch either side, also an inside rail tonneau, the beds aren't so precise it would have either fit perfectly of very little tweaking required. Now i have a tonneau and no truck, go figure...also an aftermarket bumper, a clean tailgate, service manuals and other bits and pieces i need to list on the classifieds section

Got a completely rust free tailgate for sale.......

sorry guys, traded off the Comanche for another Wrangler(99 Sahara), I was getting too many neck cramps getting in/out, being 6'+ makes it difficult. My next Jeep truck will probably be something in the J-series line full size truck.

I'm going to be selling my oem jack and the strap for the D rings, i don't have the jack handles, and i prefer a scissors jack, not concerned with oem

I only posted long bed dimensions based on my 86, the taper may affect the width at the tailgate for the short-bed(compared to the long-bed dimensions), not sure, but if someone could actually post theirs exactly like I did but for the short-bed. Still awaiting good weather, snow here today, expecting another 3-5" over the next 2 days. Post it in my thread...Tonneau Covers

Their not that bad yet, since I don't daily it, but have to repair sooner than a serious tear develops
