  1. Yes, they did have fast shipping, The part would be good enough for your purpose or if it was for my XJ, but I would not have got chrome. . Just that I saw OEM and thought it would be a factory made part. The bridge has already burned.
  2. So I was looking for chrome headlight bezels and found a driver side NOS OEM one on ebay, got it and it looks and fits great. Now I just need one for for the pass. side. Searching the internet I find that Quadratec has OEM ones, so I ordered one. When I got it, found out it is a reproduction one made by Crown Automotive Sale Co. Inc. The chrome is dull, the plastic feels cheap and no part number molded into it at all. I contacted Quadratec and informed them of my unhappiness with this part and that it is not an OEM part. They tell me that Crown made the OEM parts and that it is one. So I contact Crown and they tell me that they are licensed to make OEM reproduction parts, but never made the original OEM part. I contact Quadratec and tell them that they falsely advertised this as an OEM part, They told me that since Crown is licensed to make reproductions of OEM parts, and they can call it an OEM part and did not falsely advertise it. I asked for a refund including shipping both ways and they will not refund shipping, just the original purchase price. I told them that I will never again purchase anything from from and they didn't seem to care. Is it just me or am I expecting to much from Quadratec. Sorry I just had to vent. Here is the link to the item description. http://www.quadratec.com/products/55001_802.htm
  3. Cleaned up the jack and handle and mounted them, found the strap at the JY awhile back. Image Not Found The wife wants to drive the truck and when I told her there was no shift indicator she asked if I could put one in, I liked the one Hornbrod put on his column and was going to get one. But I decided to try and cut the hole in the tach and use the original indicator instead. Took the face plate off the tach and the original gas gauge and placed the gas one on top of the tach to use as a template, placed it on a piece of wood and used a utility knife to cut the hole out. Took alot of passes but eventually cut thru it. Turned out better then I expected.
  4. It came out of a cherokee, I think it was a 1987, not sure, but it was a Renix year.
  5. Amazing how it split on the yellow center line.
  6. Have you looked at the Detroit Truetrac. This is a gear driven limited slip unit, no clutches to wear out. This is what I have in the front of my XJ. I was looking at putting a Lock Right in my Dana30, but the guy at the axle shop says he has alot of the customers that use it in a daily driver come back and have it removed, due to steering problems with it not always unlocking. So far I am happy with the TrueTrac, It performs good off road and does not affect my steering on or off the road.

  14. Yes, you can have to much fuel pressure and it will force to much gas in. You should get a fuel pressure regulator. Also did you take into account your new tire size, you are actually going farther then the odometer indicates. Google excessive fuel pressure.
  15. I have only seen and installed them with the flat side out. I would say the one installed is wrong. Did it leak?

  25. Was at the junkyards today and found 3 MJs. They were pretty much stripped out. One had a automatic column shift with tilt in it. The only problem is the column is loose (wobbles),don't know if just needs to be tightened up inside or something is worn out. Was wondering if it is worth pulling out. Mine does not have tilt and might put it in mine. Will post up the VIN's later tonight.
