So stock on my 1990 Comanche I have a np231 transfer case. I have a np242 on my 1989 jeep Cherokee donor. Now I posted this before and I don't have it in my threads anymore. How ever I see people with the np242 on here now and trying to figure out if I wanna switch them out. Looking for people's $0.02.

So my donor jeep has a moon roof or sun roof looking at putting it in the Comanche. My wife says no but my truck so I'm just looking for feedback on the subject

Does anyone have a build thread on here about switching or converting

So my donor has electrical door locks and window with trindows. I want the door cuz mine broke at the handle and I want trindows so might aswell swap right? But my question is can the electric doors be converted to manual or do I have to wire that non sense to role and lock my doors?

I just did this yesterday lucky me I had the bolts swapped out too. I did mine a lil different tho. I used a ratchet with a long @$$ extension and a swivel attachment with the socket. And worked for me.

Poor brake line ouch

Got the motor put in with the mounts and fly wheel on. Went to put the transmission in and guess what no inspection plates and transmission bolts are to be found!!!! So i have to get those before we go any farther!! But my cherokee donor of course has them but the problem is that is a lot of work for some plates and bolts.

As far as the tire my buddy's have them and got like a an Offroad warranty from discount tires and any hole or puncture in the sidewall they got a new tire. And of course it was like an extra 100 bucks a tires but sounded like a deal to me

Rock auto has all those one piece gaskets and they were cheaper on there compared to the stores
