  1. Ah, good ol' country. Where you can drive like a maniac and not have to worry near as much about the police. :brows: :driving:
  2. Lookin' good man...real slick. :brows:
  3. well in your post 80% is talking about drinking nad driving so yeah your tpromoting D&D lol, I meant to say I'm not encouraging/suggesting drinking and driving. :rotf:
  4. Heck, in my experience you hardly need a cup hold if you drink out of cans in the MJ. If you go somewhere and have a drink, like fast food or something I'll need them. If I'm drinking a beer or coke thats in a can, I just sit it in the divit in the bench seat, behind the shifter, and 4x4 control. I haven't been offroad with it like that. With regular streat driving/out in the country, or in the field at the farm...that beer hasn't spilled yet. These MJ's were built for cruisin' and boozin'. (I'm not promoting drinking and driving.) The only time I drink beer while I'm driving is out in the country, and on the farm. Once I hit the city I don't cuz we have cops out the a$$ here. That is a neat custom cup holder though.
  5. The mj is coming along nicely. Looks good.
  6. You're coming along though. can't wait to see s'more.
  7. Nice mj, and yes they are addicting...I just love 'em. It can't be too bad to be addicted to them. You could be addicted to other things. Cars are my safe alternative.
  8. Heck yeah, good scoring those. Congrats on the grad deal...even though that was like 2-3 months ago.
  9. I would dive to save a good engine as well. I actually had a dream about that a few nights ago....weird coincidence. I would definately slide under it to cushion the fall so the oil pan didn't get ruined and the fan, as well as intake/exhaust manifolds....
  10. I'd drive it as well. That thing would sure turn heads. :rotf:   It would be interesting to drive though.
  11. That thing is horrid looking.
  12. Can't wait to see more, it's turning out great. I'm especially interested in the floor work.
  13. I agree there. I always liked their look. I just wish Chrysler never bought 'em out. It'd be cool to still have a Jeep brand truck being produced.
  14. Found more pics from the same night. HA! Just notice a beer can in the bed of it in the snow! :rotf:
  15. I'm kind of nervous about doing body work because I've never welded or anything. My dad has a couple of different welders up at his place, one's run off gas and the other is electric I believe. I'm not so worried about the floor panels (which resembles the flinstones) :rotf: I'm more worried about the cab corners.
  16. This rms sounds like it's gonna be fun for me to replace. Luckily I'll be pulling the engine and doing it out of the truck. I can't wait till I start workin on the ol' jeep. Mine has a small small leak, the front of my oil pan has a little bit of a larger leak, along with the power steering leak, on top of that my rear differential is starting to leak. :wall: This jeep likes to mark it's territory.
  17. Good find, always have liked the wagoneers.
  18. Nice...that's a good lookin' car.
  19. This is so cool to see. Companies working with the site, just like zach that does the body panels. Good to see. I'll be getting these eventually, they will match my black interior great. :brows:
  20. Not a problem. Glad we could help.
  21. A tune up might help, but not for no $350...for that price they better have a pretty woman give you a good massage all over and lots of stuff. :rotf: This is why I never go to a shop for anything, I'd rather have bloody hands and a hurting back than pay some greasy fools who may do a half a$$ job. I know some cheap/no good mechanics, some will do some sleezy stuff. I know one that when it comes to minivans, if he's doing a plug and wire change he will only change the front plugs and wires because they are easy to get to but won't touch the back ones because they are difficult to get to from the top of the engine. He's too lazy to jack it up and change them from under neath. Another case of his, a vehicle with the check engine light on...he checks it...it has 9 codes. The person gets it back, only to still have it running bad. Genious mechanic pulled the check engine light bulb :shake: Obviously not all people are like that, but you never know who is or isn't. Only I work on my baby. :brows: Only thing I use those mechanics for is an "inspection" lol. I know for a fact my truck won't pass, but acccording to them, my rig is doing fine. Thats only a 20 dollar inspection too. About your rig, do you know much about the previous owner? The catalytic convertor might have been banged hollow so it isn't filtering the air coming out. (just a theory)
  22. That truck is sexy.....
  23. I have a similar experience...the dudes XJ wasn't ruined or broke, but he wouldn't listen. It was last winter. I was out in the country near my dad's. It's dusk, getting a little dark and there is ice on the roads. Of course they can be very very hilly. I'm driving and I come to this hill and this xj is half up it and is sliding back down. :hmm: I stop and I'm waiting for this dude to get up the hill so I can go. Turns out he has 4 wheel drive. He's in 4 low and trying to get up the hill, slides back down to the bottom and tries it again. I tell him he's going to need to back up and get some speed going and get out of 4 low, cuz this hill is STEEP and SLICK. He tries about 4 or 5 times, keeping it in low and only gets to a little over 20 mph most likely. Still doesn't make it, I tell him again and he goes "I know how to drive a Jeep, my dad taught me" :smart: . I was like forget it, I told him to pull over to the side, I got in, had it in 4 high in my COMANCHE :brows: (when it still ran), and I gunned it. I go flying up the hill first time, probably around 40 mph. I don't know if he ever did it, he might have turned around. Oh well, don't take advice, it's on you haha.
  24. Is the xj a 2 door or a 4 door? I don't think the 2 door will swap, but the 4 door will I believe.
