sounds like SYE and tom woods time! personally i hate the fat ones. luckily i snagged a spare from a local club member who has two MJs. anyway yes it would be cheapest to shorten that one down and better than retubing the one.

hm. i imagine most the trucks here are work/trail rigs, so why bother making it all nice and shiney. plus i don't think those nothern guys can with all that rust they like to cover their rigs with :D

bought a set of interior lights of ebay. didnt get the discount. my rocky road sliders came in. they won't mount up because of my long arm brackets. :( guess ill be cutting those up to mod them

hey that kit has the style track bar you'd want and adjustable lower control arms. i have no clue about the rest of the kit as ive havent heard of anyone running it. at least you'd have reviews to share if you bought it.

RRO does take a long time to ship out parts but from the sounds of the customer service department, it sounds like a smaller operation. the guy i talked to was very helpful but weird.

i went through Hell Creek. which is hell creek rear springs and rough country up front. Rough Country is not bad. their stuff is decent and not expensive either. i would choose them anyday over rustys.

very cool but if it were me id gut the whole thing and start new. shouldnt even be a big ordeal or costly.

i wake up before sunrise every morning. even weekends like today. i usually see it but most of the time I'm trying to get online and get ready for my day all at once and don't just sit and take it all in.

pulled out the old original leaky radiator and finally put in my new 3 row easy as hell. i don't know why I'm always dragging @$$ on this stuff edit: man temps while crusin' are around 180! vs. the normal 195-200 while cruisin' with the old one. also went on and installed a ZJ V8 tie rod in place of the slightly bent stock one. man what a huge difference. almost like its an after market one.

seems a bit extreme to shoot a dog for tearing up a seat. if you don't have control of your dog in the first place, you don't need the dog.

thanks for this. building my own and hope/need to have it done before my clubs fall run!

damn your lucky. i found one for fifty bucks but never heard back. still makes me sick to this day

wheeled it hard. drove it, then noticed my front wheel was wobbling. all the lug nuts were loose! i had drove on it like that for miles too

i got mine from a 96 xj but I'm sure they'll work all the way up to 2000. just make sure to grab both lines and the fitting that goes in the manifold. theres a link around here somewhere. if you search youll probably find it here. i think i paid 8 bucks for all of it at pull a part. plus it cuts out the whole blow-by issue. edit. youll also have to buy a new gasket for it though. old and new valve cover gaskets are different.
-
go to the junkyard and grab a newer valve cover and hoses. those old ones are no good IMO. plus it looks like that one has been through hell already

i always go to the home page. its just the way i typed it the first time and always just clicked on it. i need to re-type it out because half the time it takes me to webring.com/comanche or some $#!& like that. really pisses me off.

SW86 replied to big66440's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs

its water. I'm sure of it. its raining again so I'm sure there will be more. its not a lot but it fills up those two grooves in the floor board. any other time nothing, just when it rains. so where is the easiest way to get to this grommet? under the dash or under the truck? how could i go about fixing it? new gromment, sealant? hell i guess i just need to check it out more
