Are you tlking the lettering? If so do you think mid fender well or further. Cole

You think thats bad....I live on base and we arent allowed to have anything close to what yall have visible and they only give us a tiny shed to store everything in. And the biggest thing i "NO MAJOR REPAIRS" in base housing including tire rotation. And you can't have the tires off the ground and be under the vehicle but luckily i can almost sit up under mine to work on it with the tires on the ground. I had to make a gate to pull my truck in my backyard so the Cops can't see me working on it :brows: . Only been caught once and it was doing my front locker and i told the cop so you just want me to leave it like this up on jack stands and the front axle completely apart in the driveway  . So he said i had an hour and hed be back and it had to be done, so it was. Cole

I thought id chime in to let you know one more way. If you go to advance auto they sell little rubber peices that either lift it 2" or 3" depending on how you put them in. They actually go inbetween the coils. I know you didnt want spacers but i used this method when i fist got my MJ and i did great and even rode the same as stock. Cole

I know a guy that might be able to figure it out. He is currently out of country for a little while longer so i will get up with him and see what he says about it. We run a website together and he knows all that computer crap. Cole

Question for Pete....Are you the only Moderator on this forum? I havent seen anyone else but if so you could get some trusted help or a friend that you know well and has an idea as to how to work a website to take on some of the load. I just thought i would lay that out here since splitting the classifieds would be tideous work for one man to do. Cole

Actually i was going to put Danger near the muffler And doing that on some spots but i can't find any examples on the net so i think i will go with an airplane pic to base that off of. I have also debated putting the gross wieght and center of balance markings on it. To many designs to choose from but i know i am doing the MJ-87 And prob USA. I am also redoing the star to big bigger and more centered in the door since it looks better that way in the pic We will see what happens. Cole

I have Stock axles  (35-30) with 35s and a luchbox locker and the axles lasted threw tellico and some moderate stuff around my area So you should be good.IMO Cole

This is my favorite so far it looks the best i think. I also added another idea to the mix the small star on the back lower quarter what ya think. Cole
-
Do yall think the star should be bigger and centered in the door like the pic on this page or is it fine how it is. Now that i see how it looks with the big one i like it better. Cole
-
I am using stencils that look like that but i think they are a little smaller. It seems like so far everyone is leaning towards the front fender so today after work i will check here one last time to see if any better arguments are placed and then i will start on it. Cole

I was trying to brake loose a bolt on the suspension of my truck with the old open end wrench looped over the ratchet approach and it slipped. Ended up with a broke thumb and a halfway finished project that i couldnt do anything about. Cole

I can not figure otu what to do :wall: someone please help or talk me into doing one oe the other of ALL the above designs. HELP!!!!! Cole

Thats what I'm being told now by a couple of strangers that just so happen to catch me in the truck as they walk by. Everyone seems to like the design of the ppaint I think it will be even better with the other stuff on it i.e. MJ-87. I even had a guy crawling around and looking over everything when i came out of a store on base today. I had a feeling he either hit my truck (i would have been pissed) Or wanted to know how much lift and what setup i had. But it was an stock XJ guy wanting to know why my springs were so flat with all that lift :D So i explained the difference in SOA XJ and SUA MJ to him and he loved everything. I guess the contest is out of the question since so many people like it now. Its amazing how much more people resond to it now and like it with just a couple of coats of spray paint. Cole

Side view mirrors and door questions...
JOMJ87 replied to Andy in Pa's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had non stick adjusters and put on XJ ones with sticks and the bolt right up. Cole -
So, anybody know more about propane than me?
JOMJ87 replied to DirtyComanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ok what I have learned in the past couple of Hours with this is your timing would be off since the propane want have the same flash point, you would have cooling isues since gas is also used to cool off cylinder walls, It would be cheaper than buying gas especially since gas is forever rising!!!!!! Just a little info but i say go for it ;) since it can save you LOADS of money  but make sure you document and let us know how it goes cause i am now considering it since you can prob fix all the issues you would have and the money issues are a tremendous advantage i really don't care if it gives me more power. :brows: Cole -
PingPong----That is flipped on top right i can't really see in the pic if you did or not? Also to clarify on the YJ he does have a small shackle lift but has had 0 problems with it. He is a mechanic on base and has took it to the shop and checked all the alignment before this was done and it was very very close to being right on. He is running Thornbird bias ply tires and the walk alot on the road and don't ride smooth at all if you have ever drove something with these tires I'm sure you experienced that. After doing the dual setup it has seemed to help with the ride on the pavement. Now offroad i have learned this setup is used so your steering wheel don't jerk around so easily while on rocks. This means you want brake your wrist by hitting a rock with the outside edge of the tires as easily.IMO Sorry i didnt clarify with this amount of detail before but i just had a sit down with him to discuss everything and figure it all out so i could give you a better idea as to what is going on. Thanks for all the input and keep it coming i always am willing to learn as much as possible before i think of trying something. Cole

His geaometry (if thats how you spell that) is prob off since it sits 7 inches over stock and has no drop pitman arm ar high steer I would think it would be off. The only reason i posted it was to see what everyone thought of the design. I don't know anything about a dual setup so I'm not even sure what its supose to do. If it does help bump steer that would be nice with my 35s that have slight bump steer but i need to figure out a high steer setup that is not to expensive. I thought of fabbing something but i have no experience with doing any streering mods like this. If anyone has any input on what its "suposed" to do. Or if it really helps. Cole

I forgot to mention this earlier but the new fords are going to have those vents stock. Cole
-
I forgot to add this. This is what I'm kinda going for just incase you were wondering. I really like this style of vehicle for some unknown reason. I guess its the same thing thats got me hooked on the MJ thing, Cole

Ok so i got a wild hair and decided to tape on exactly what I'm thinking of painting on the fender. This is just masking tape so i will have an idea what it will look like. Also the stars are on the doors and i know they are not perfect in the center of the door but i thought it looked better centered in the widow slighly instead. What do you think. Oh yeah i finnaly got a pic of the wife sitting in the truck even though she claims to hate it :brows: . I think she is a liar :D Shoould i go for it on the fender or are there better ideas out there as far as what to put there and especially what to do on the hood? Cole
-
He says that it tightened up the steering and i rides alot better than before? And i have seen alot of offroad rigs that had a dual setup i just don't know the exact reason why but i do know you can buy alot of kits to do the same so it is popular and has a buisness. Cole
-
I'm thinking of doing some vents on the hood. I just think it would keep it cooler since since heat does rise. Cole

Mine has a lip around the edges if yours has that i would somehow fasten in to it. If you need pics ill try to get them tonight. Cole
