I agree Rusty's trac bars are uhm....interesting to say the least. But I have never had bad customer service with them...atleast that's looking up for them.

Thanks guys. I also think it's almost time for that Ax15 swap. I think I'll go pull a new motor and tranny at the Jy next weekend and wait for mine to explode before I swap it out. My original motor/tranny have last 302,xxx though...this could take some time..

After trouble shooting and screaming "WTH is that noise!" I have realized my tranny is pretty low on fluid and probably about to explode. What fluid do you suggest to prolong the life of it?

I think Hellscreek has some sort of AAL option for us. I think.

Took today off, unknowing to me that we apparently about to get this "Hurricane Earl" ......great...so I got "Hurricane fever" and decided my garage and my Xj and my Mj were going to survive this storm. Cleaned my garage and put the Xj inside (sadly it's the more valuable between the two :roll: ) Had to bust out the All weather car cover for the Mj, tied that puppy down and made sure that if by some freak of nature that it actually gets windy enough to toss objects around my tail lights won't get touched (...took them off the truck...come on there new and for I paid I can't afford to break them) Poor poor thing out there. I'm about 98% this storm won't be nearly as violent as they are predicting.

that's exactly what I thought. I'm way to cheap to fork out the $ for a custom shaft though...oh well

You trade work on your friends cars for food, as your Mj has consumed most of your free money.

Would a front Xj driveshaft work with a Sye in a mj? I was looking under the truck and was thinking it would be way to small, what do you think?

Finally got around to doing some cosmetic work on my rig... A few coats of some semi gloss black paint, new Cragar D windows, and Mtz's. I did not paint the hood/doors/rockers/header panel though so ignore them.

I tried mine myself and let me tell you a few things... Make sure you don't buy purple! I thought I was getting black and when I slapped it on it was and still is Purple! Don't bother trying to do it outside the wind will blow the tint all over the place and it will stick/grab anything it touches. Be patient! I have many little bubbles in my tint because I wanted to be done with it. But I'd do it again.

Agreed. I filed a complaint with them when I got my 1990 Xj. The stealership sold me the Cherokee no problem and I drove her home same day with temp tags, they told me they would mail me the title. A week went by with nothing from them, then 2 weeks, then 3 weeks. When I called them they told me they did not mail titles, and they did not have one on record for my Cherokee. After I filed with the BBB, I received my title within the week.

It's sad but I can honestly say I have had more life altering/touching moments with my truck then I have had with my wife...sure there was the whole marriage/having kids/spending a lifetime together, but she has yet to carry me down the road like the truck does, nor does she have a solid front axle..

Finished the lawn and said screw it.... I love have a creek on my property :D I can't wait to see what my wife says when she gets home :no:

To be short here, my younger brother who is knew to the Jeep world ordered himself a 6.5" Long arm kit via Rough Country two Saturdays ago, last Thursday he got Leaf Springs from them...well it's a week later and he has not gotten anything else, so it's been two weeks since he ordered the lift and all we have is one piece of it!....Called Ups they said they had nothing else at the warehouse, Rough Country says they shipped it out, and our Tracking # says that everything has been delivered. I thought maybe he made a mistake and only ordered the leafs on accident, his receipt is up to par, all $1500 of it is on that piece of paper but not at my parents house. :fs1: what should he/we do now? Play the waiting game or just complain to RC so many times they'll be forced to return his money?

Odd little problem today, put most of my truck back together and took it for a spin down the block. When accelerating from a stop it will get up to about 7-10mph, or about 1600rpms and it will stall and jerk back to life, almost like it has no air flow, or it's out of fuel. I couldn't get the truck out of 2nd in the area I tested it but it also did it in 2nd but only under heavy acceleration. The truck does not sputter or act different in neutral. I was pretty mad about this but then I remembered a few things that could be contributing to this issue.. *intake is not on the truck it is only a throttle body open to the world. Maybe not getting a good air flow? *before this the truck did run out of gas, I put in about a 1.5gallons though. Perhaps the fuel rail or system has air in it? *I noticed the truck was running hot at about 215-220 degrees, I remember when my Xj would run hot it would stall. Engine sputtering because of heat? *since the truck is in its mock up stage there is no exhaust on it, no cat no muffler no nothing after the manifold. Lack of back pressure casing this? I was going to toss more Coolant in the truck, but I have sprung a leak at the thermostat housing so I don't want to risk causing a bigger problem right now. I plan on pulling the housing re-sealing it and burping the system later on today to kill that problem. Any of these things seem like they could do this to a rig? Since I need to tear it apart again I don't want to have to re assemble everything test it then rip it apart, just adding more work you know?

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding here, but does it crank at all? If it doesn't I would check the sweet sweet relay up by the battery, It's a large silver rectangular thing-a-majig. Actually I'm not sure I'm not so sure 96's had those. If it's just that you're getting no spark I would check out the coil, dist, and all the basic ignition things. Sometimes it's the little things that we miss.

I feel like when a Mj rolled off the line they said "F**k it put a E fan in there" Then another would come out and they'd go "Nah not this gal"

I love me a weekend morning! Finally got to sleep until 10am. I was amazed nobody woke me up for some little reason, and nothing happened to make me get up! (No fallen tree's on my roof, nobody lit the stove on fire, no nothing!) It's going to be a good day! I think today I will treat myself and take the wife's Yj out and leave her stranded at home! (She refuses to drive my Mj, and the Xj has a dead battery :nanner: ) I love how at a certain age small victories like knowing a certain someone can't leave the house makes you feel god
