  1. Figured I'd give you some more inspiration on the project.
  2. Do it right, and you won't have to worry about having a driveshaft.
  3. Thanks again Pete, just got mine today, well I probably got them earlier in the week, but I only check my mail once a week. These ones are already in my wallet, so I can't forget them in the house now. Thanks again man.
  4. Yes, you are a traitor. :P But, it's all good, I forgive ya, this time. Hopefully the Taco does well for ya until ya can get that CJ.

I agree with this one wholeheartedly. The 700R4 would be the tranny I'd recommend if you were after gas mileage. And nowadays, 350's can be had for pretty cheap as well. Sounds like a decent car though, would ya happen to have any pics of it?
  6. There's only two things in there that caught my attention. The vipers, and the TT stealth. The rest to me is just, meh.
  7. Thanks.
  8. Now that's a cool idea. I'd be for something like that.
  9. It's just an idea I've been toying with for the past almost 5 years now. I figure that sooner rather than later is the time to do it, and do it right. I've been tossing around the idea of removing one of the leafs on each side out back, then getting some maybe 2" blocks. How short should I make the bumpstops though? C-nitch, meh, I don't plan on going quite that low with mine. As for my motor choice, well I have a line on a 396 originally out of a 73? corvette. Right now, it's in a friend of mine's 77 vega kammback wagon. I was told that as soon as he finds a bigger motor and better tranny, I could have the drivetrain for next to nothing, $350. Oh, and it's also a 5 spd tranny too. So I could keep my pedals in there.
  10. Wow, them look like brand new arms. Nice job on them, and the advice to everyone on the screw loose. I have one of them myself, oh wait, wrong screw loose.
  11. Not only do I have no place to put it, I also have no way there, or anything to put it on. Otherwise, I think I might.
  12. Welcome to our lil corner of the institution... I mean, internet. The beers in the fridge, please help yourself. And just a fair warning, ya might not want to sit on the tan bench in the corner. I agree with Dirty though, just sell the TJ and pick up a couple MJ's and mod one out.
  13. How aside from the drop blocks out back, did ya drop the rear of your MJ? I'm looking at lowering my 88 about 3-4" all around. I figure that the motor that I'm looking at getting will provide a sufficient enough drop up front, but was wondering about the rear.
  14. I'm smart enough to know what the fine print says. I agree, that is one hell of a deal. So, ya gonna go for it?
  15. What, no video clip for us? Making some serious progress on it though.
  16. Did anyone notice that the current high bidder is a member of our lil community here?
  17. That's a pretty cool idea. I like it. Good thinking there hornbrod.
  18. Looking good, I like it. Have ya made a decision on the color yet, or are ya just gonna wait to decide on that after you're done building it up.
  19. That's what I was wondering while I was down there too. Although I did see an XJ for sale in Waterford that I wouldn't mind having the rims off of.
  20. Wow, you've brought it a long way from the beginning till now. Looks good so far.
  21. :fool: That's gotta be the funniest thing I've heard all day.
  22. Hey pat, if I had a place to put it, you could store it with me. :brows: $500 MJ, that place you're at must be pretty nice, I on the otherhand know nothing about that. I'm about $75,000 to $100,000 in debt from when my insurance wouldn't pick up my hospital bills.
  23. How's the dropping and welding going so far?
  24. Hey, no problem. I like the way it looks on there too. Hhmm.... twins... that may be a possibility in the future. Yep, TBI and seals and gaskets on the 86, and I'm beyond set.
  25. I just got a hardon. the 86 looks TOTALLY wicked now. when are you gonna put that...other thing...in the 86? some more pics of the 88 with the VISOR available? man you got one hell of a set of trucks goin there... and hey, I may be able to give you 4.10's in your rear axle on the 88 again with the one I'm getting...it would be getting an 8.8 regardless of whether it was streeted or not. Don't know about the rattle canning the back of the cab, I bought it from Alex (GIR) already in black. When I did the silver, I just sprayed a lil bit inbetween there, just enough to make it look good. Pat, TMI man, TMI. Sorry if my brain is absent yet again, but what are ya talking about putting in the 86? As for the pics of the 88, you already answered your own question in that thread. The 4.10's would be nice to have back in there, I'm really starting to hate the takeoff (or lack thereof) in the 88.
