  1. I'm getting tired of bleeding the air out of the internal slave of my AX15 every week. According to the records I have, the slave cylinder is a LUK and was put in about 10k miles ago. It seems to suck in air but not leak fluid. I'm annoyed enough that I've decided I'll pull the trans. Or is it just worth it to spend the money and effort to do the full conversion?
  2. Yup! Most of my cars are 20 footers. During lockdown my twin brother and I spent our days fixing all the paint issues on our old BMW M3. Fixed rust, got color matched paint, the whole deal. Two winters later you wouldn't know that it was ever nice. It's far easier owning a fleet of 20 footers. At least the Comanche is getting spared the winter weather.
  3. Looks like the axle might clear. Is the filler neck in the correct spot?
  4. It's not all that great. Previous owner had repainted by an amateur. They did an alright job but it has a lot of orange peel and scratches super easily.
  5. An excellent fit for sure, definitely limits rear ward visibility. Would you actually use it? Seems to take up a lot of space in a bed for a rarely used item.

  9. Yep, it was the right truck at the right time at the right place. It was within a day drive which was way better than most of the ones I was looking at. Do you know any history of it? Like what dealer owned it? I don't need to use your thread about going to the Butler Bantam Jeep festival to discuss this...
  10. Oh gosh, my truck came from near there. A place called Bowmansville which is just south of Reading. I'm just south of Erie, PA very close to the intersection of I-90 and I-79.

  12. Was out at the local autocross today running one of my cars, the white BMW, and decided to take it out on the track and take some photos on the banked turns.
  13. Probably not but I should go as it's only about 90 minutes away. I went in about 2015 way before I had a Jeep.
  14. +1 on the vacuum check valve inline near the intake manifold, if you have a good accumulator and no leaks it should work well. I'm guessing you have the adjustment trims on the yellow computer tuned well for your setup? You could get the same symptoms by having the low speed adjustment or centering adjustment off. Possibly sensitivity but I doubt it.
  15. Does the BA10/5 have a reverse lock out mechanism? Try shifting through 1-5th then back into say 3rd prior to shifting into reverse.

  18. Had the factory Eliminator wheels refinished professionally and five new KO2 BFGs put on! 235 75 R15 They ride smoother and quieter than the cheap Chinese light truck tires that were on it.
  19. When it comes to driveshafts, find your nearest drive shaft shop and have them modify the length of the one you have and while your at it, they can probably replace your U joints. It's pretty easy to measure for length and in my experience it is cheaper and easier than finding the exact shaft in the config you need. That said, I don't know if the AX15 drive shaft length is the same as the BA10/5, I kind of doubt they are the same but it's a slip yoke out of the transfer case so possibly they may be the same. Someone here will know.

  23. Yeah there appears to be advantages and disadvantages to each. The Honda Acty and Suzuki Carry are supposed to have the most rev happy engines. The Subaru Sambar is the only 4 cylinder of the bunch and is supposedly a lot more refined. The Diahatsu Hijet is the most common and easiest to get parts for. I'm definitely looking forward to driving one from various brands to find which one I want. I'd prefer one with a true low range transfer case, some only offer an ultra low crawler gear.
  24. That's good to know. It's hard to get an opinion on that because most people are used to relatively power modern vehicles that get to 60 in an instant. Which model did you drive, if you know.
  25. I've never seen a diesel one, but they may exist. I'm interested in the Suzuki as they apparently have the most rev happy fun engine. I did find that there is a local equipment dealer that sells and works on them. However they don't import them.
