I saw a really clean blue one with chrome trim and a nice chrome roll bar in Cedar Falls not terribly long ago. And one outside of Cedar Rapids that was in decent shape. Mine's a pile of junk right now, inside and out and I feel bad for anyone that I force to look at it... But She's been good to me and I'm going to be good to her.

since the world is still shut down and it doesn't look like I will be bartending again any time soon I've started on Cruiser54's wonderful list. I got a few done today before it rained, and I found out that P/O didn't like the tail light ground for the fuel pump so now I have to find the new one

I just recently bought an 08 mercury sable to get me around while I'm getting my 87 MJ squared away, and doing anything on that car besides an oil change has been a massive headache.

my center latch got bent. I removed it and it's the absolute best modification I've made to my truck so far -

I had a major death wobble today, that I was *actually* concerned about. It lasted no longer than 3-5 seconds at about 35 mph, but was so violent that I almost pulled over and called a tow truck less than 6 blocks from my house. At first I thought I simply had a flat tire, but they were fine, then I thought maybe brakes because I was braking when the death rattle/wobble occurred. After driving a little while longer I am sure my brakes are fine. The steering is loose, but almost always has been. If anyone else has had any issues similar to this, I'd be very interested to know what caused the issue, how it was diagnosed, and the steps taken to correct it.

Coolant reservoir leaking
Comanchejess replied to Azjeepcomanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My coolant tank cracked horizontally down the center, and I think I replaced it for something like $20. -

I was reading through some of your links... there's lots of interesting troubleshooting (or just plain interesting) stuff there. I have a lot of stuff to check out in the morning ;0.. hopefully *something works before I have to start spending money.. -

What to do if your hood release cable breaks
Comanchejess replied to Pete M's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
I'm going to do hood pins on mine as well. My hood is a little bent from being in a wreck about a year ago, and some of the fenders, and it cracked the plastic piece where my windshield wipers mount. I also figure that it'll be easier to be able to remove the hood latch, because I frequently have to lift my hood. -
won't stay running
Comanchejess replied to Comanchejess's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It will start without giving it gas, however, once it starts going, it'll go, I can't keep it running. -
Harmonic unbalance

I ended up replacing the harmonic balancer. That was the issue. Thanks! -
won't stay running
Comanchejess replied to Comanchejess's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
4.0, *I've* never completed a tune-up, so at least 2 years since I've owned it. I just replaced the timing chain/timing chain cover/harmonic balancer two weeks ago. could I need to adjust timing at the distributor? I wouldn't think so since it was running fine before two days ago. -
Hey there everybody. My 1987 Comanche, (some 1988 parts from the factory) won't stay running. It starts fine every time, but it will not stay started. It's misfiring, and if I can keep it going long enough to get somewhere it bogs down when I am accelerating after braking or coming out of a turn. This is my daily driver, and currently the only vehicle I have that I can drive legally in my state, so any advice here would help. I've ruled out fuel delivery as an issue, as it is getting fuel.
