  1. Motor is the same, supposedly it’s better but can’t confirm that. But the connectors are different
  2. They’re a hook design which is easier to install and take off than the pin of the 84-96 style for the blade we all know and love. Depending on who you ask, there’s some love and hate amongst us Jeepers.
  3. Traitor! Lol. We will make that JL an 80’s piece.
  4. Oooo dammit. For anyone curious this is an 84-86 style. Looks better than the later style in my opinion.
  5. I think they’re put on the same way the buckets have them. With that little shaped bracket that fit the plastic adjuster. Honestly it probably could be done with a bench seat that doesn’t have the head rests presently.
  6. Lol!! My next question would’ve been if you have been lacking power lately. But I appreciate the pics, I’ll update that thread with your pics.
  7. Oh shoot! I had to look again. My bad. The blue wires, 4 and 3 looked like they were wired wrong and threw me off.
  8. It does also you’re firing order is wrong.
  9. Could be. I one time had the contacts be dirty on the ICM that my XJ died on me and would restart. Thought it was the CPS and it wasn’t. Swapped the ICM entirely and fired up. Cleaned the contacts on the old ICM, put the coil on and fired right back up. So could be dirty contacts that could operate fine for a bit but then stop all together.
  10. May not be the coil entirely but given it’s puffing smoke back out the intake makes me think it’s not firing and a bunch of gas vapors are just coming back out after the injectors firing. But I don’t know much about the 4.0 and it’s injection. Ironically I have the book on it.
  11. Have you tested any of the other sensors? How new is the fuel pump? Grounds clean? How about the coil? I’ve heard of those getting heat soaked and being on the fritz when hot.
  12. Anyone with the V6 want these? Won’t fit an AMC water pump which kinda sucks. As far as I can tell they’re in good operating order. I can’t ask much for them. $20 for both but realistically I’m giving them away. Cost of shipping is all I ask.
  13. Not that anyone has found. I actually made one of my own using a Chrysler clip, but I have no part number to assist with that. But it fit in the hole perfectly!
  14. Well I attempted to do a small lift to the eagle by making a bastard leaf pack. I was really close until I got to the alignment dowel. It was stripped thanks to rust. Actually the only rust issue piece of run into on this car. Anyways I had to make new threads, use a new nut to put it back together and just leave it alone until I decide what to do next and how to go about it. But I’m gonna use two leafs from my MJs original leafs. The only matching ones from each pack. Hoping that nets me a small lift and more support out back without having to buy a new leaf set. Also if funds don’t happen, I’m gonna have to park the eagle until it cools off since the AC isn’t working. So little red and or chunk is back into daily duty. Have I ever said I enjoy driving my fleet? Well it never gets old I can say that much! Also to anyone who finds this thread that’s not a member, get the GM alternator diode connector. That fixed my slight glowing of the battery light.
  15. What a fricken waste!!
  16. Hell. Thinking about this and doing an MJ e-brake pedal just has me thinking about the wiring mess that’s right there.
  17. Trans hump is probably too long compared to the MJ if I recall. But XJ seats do sit higher.
  18. Good to know. We can toss the 4.0 radiator out. And honestly crown offers one more core for the factory replacement radiator that does pretty damn well. So I now need the aluminum valve cover.
  19. Give in to the dark side. Let the addiction consume you.
  20. You can run lower impedance speakers just fine. But I’m just throwing factory spec out there.
  21. Factory speaker resistance is 8Ω ont he factory radios.
  22. Shouldn’t have to worry about your cowl that much since they stick out plenty unless you’re using prying tools to get them off.
  23. That’s interesting….my 84 XJ does not have that style at all. Should be able to pull them right off if they’re anything like my Eagle wiper arms.
