There's a big capacitor in the door, maybe that's related to the overload during a power outage. It's also the reason I don't really want to modify anything. It may be the reason they use the door as the connecting mechanism so people don't electrocute themselves. I'm pretty new to home electrical. I might be over cautious.

Every time we lose power our well control box fries a little more. I managed to clean it up this time but I'm hoping I can replace just the connector on the terminal block before it's completely toast. Right now it's looking as burnt up as an MJ HVAC connector. Does anyone know what these connectors are called or if you can even get them? I found a replacement terminal block but they want $80 which seems crazy when the whole box is $100. The bit on top of the connector is female for a male spade that's on the lid.

In the city near me there are several places that are commercial/ personal shops. When I was a kid (90's) my step dad rented one for a few years for $200 a month. I loved hanging out there after school, that's where I got my practical education lol. It didn't take long for the rates to chase him out though. I'm sure cost varies wildly, if they're an issue maybe you could share one with someone. I imagine you'd find them on the outskirts of town, maybe an industrial park. I couldn't find them searching for "shop space".

That's awesome that you did this for her. I ordered the paper back, I'll just have to find someone to give it to.

Yikes, that website was bad. Just a bunch of guesses thrown out as click bait. TBH nothing in the jeep line interests me anymore. The Ford Bronco though, .

I had mine pulled out by an army dentist. They accidentally shattered one and had to pull the little bits out. They only offered local anesthetic. I was on a small base and a lot of my platoon had to get them pulled before going to Iraq. It was the fast food of dentistry. It wasn't worse than the time the nurse was chatting and let the curing light rest on my lip resulting in a burn. Probably one of the fillings that fell out since it never got cured lol.

Neat but... "I removed the AC from the roof " I wonder how hot that thing gets. My trailer got 108 in partial shade when it was 92 out. -
I have a feeling walker could get exhaust pipe at some point during the entire year or 2022. I agree with Minuit no huge loss here. Actually a gain. I purchased it with a gift card which is why I let it go so long. Now they're sending me a check. I'd rather that money go to a local shop anyway. The biggest disappointment is how summit handled it, or didn't handle it.

After a year I think it's time to end the experiment. The "expected ship date" used to push out every 2 weeks, then every 2 months. I contacted customer service at Summit a few times, no one could be bothered to contact walker. Even at this point canceling a year later the customer support didn't care. Times have certainly changed for summit.

If you swap the whole thing you have to adapt the wiring for the taillights. I used a trailer light controller. I'm pretty sure that's the best route.

@mbpete My fuse block was also shot from the famed clutch fluid leak. I'm pretty sure I didn't have the right connectors in the fuse block but I can't say for sure. You'll have to compare your parts block to your MJ block.

Yeah I agree, I'm not meant for city life. I spent most the weekend cleaning rat poop out of the shed. There used to be a doomsday supply of food in there that was perfect for rats, not so much for doomsday. Got some digging done in the Garage. I think I'll do 4'x4' or 4x6 sections at a time to save my back. I'm going to float the slab inside the footing. From what I've learned I just gravel it, put vapor barrier down and pour 4" of cement.

Named after my first frequent visitors, I finally found a place to call home for the foreseeable future. Not quite where I wanted to but the housing market was too out of control for me. Sadly I'm stuck in CA, I am however in the mountains away from most of it. Some of my guns just won't be leaving the safe. At this point I'm just thankful I can get the rest of my stuff from AZ (including my Cherokee) and live with a place to call home. I already got a little garden going. Also got the internet working fairly well with a ghetto starlink setup. The tree's cause a lot of outages. Projects: Garage: The garage floor is densely packed gravel. I'd like to dig it out and cement it. If anyone has an idea on what the best way to do that is please let me know. I'd rather not rent a bobcat if there's a cheaper machine that can help. There is a cement footing around the walls of the garage but not the door. I was thinking I shouldn't pour over the hard packed soil since it's already above the footing. I've done some googling but this looks like it's going to take a bit of research. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Shed: The Shed is sagging on the sides, one side looks like it's over 2 inches lower and one maybe an inch. Either way it's going to make my 3d printer lean. There are a bunch of cement footing blocks left here I'm hoping I can jack it up and put them in. Oh Also I need a door.

Be like me and order the Walker tailpipe that's been shipping in two weeks since November. That way your summit bucks won't ever expire.

You're welcome. I have links to them in the top post, You only need either the ram or the quadlock whichever you prefer (quadlock requires a case specific for your phone) You need the arm as well. Short or medium is best, long will put too much leverage against the ball There's also a link to Blue Sea USB ports which I recommend since I've had issues with proper dimensions on others.

For the most part my customers are really friendly, and I've had some great conversations and friendly feedback. I think you may have cursed me though. This person ordered on Friday and messaged me Sunday. Amazon has definitely created expectations that small businesses can't reasonably accommodate. Thank you, I thought about having a separate manufacturer defect policy but I think it's best to just leave it with a regular return policy posted and keep mfr defect internal to prevent complaints.

He did send pictures, the break doesn't look like something that would happen under usual conditions installing or during usage. Thank you for your insight. I sent him instructions on fixing it. ABS plastic responds well to repairing with acetone so if he does it right it'll be good as new.

I have over 200 panels in the wild right now. I was messaged about a panel breaking. This would be the second one after almost a year. The first one the buyer admitted they tried to force it to bend wire connectors and snapped it. This one however the buyer claims after 2 months it "was just like that" he discovered both mounts were snapped when he removed the dash bezel to repair his AC. I find it pretty hard to believe he didn't notice it flopping around with no mounts and he probably broke it by pulling on it when he removed the bezel. Also the mounts were sheered horizontally but the forces it sees during use are vertical or against the face. So I have two options. I can replace it outside of the return window, or tell him how to repair it. I usually would lean towards replacing things people break. I'm curious what others think. I doubt this will be my last time running into this kind of situation.

Burning propane creates moisture so oven/burners are a major source. If you get the regular vents put these covers on them so you can still have your vent open in the rain. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UUMM6K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah I understand, just something to be aware of. You staying on a military base? Otherwise I like the layout but that would just be a nogo for me. I'd second Pete's "buy used" comment. As long as you can get the layout/features you need. For me I had to custom order to get extra insulation and springover conversion which was a must for national forest roads. Insulation is important get their upgraded insulation version if you can, trailers get hot/cold quick. Also RV's didn't start modernizing until like 2018. A lot of RV's still had ugly browns and shag carpets until then. Every used one I stepped into was like hopping into the 70's As far as Grand designs, I know a few people with them and they're happy with theirs. I toured a bunch and they looked well built. Never buy a forest river, by far the worst built TT's I've walked into. Edit: Another thing, get a slide support jack if you're full timing with it out. People that don't support them find out they won't go back in after they've been out for a long time. Also keep your slide seals lubed!

The concern I have about that layout is the slide position. Often times on the road we stop for lunch in places we may not be able to extend the slide. We've boondocked in places we can't have it out either. I think having all critical needs accessible with the slide in is important. That layout you won't have access to your oven or microwave.
