Oh ok, I don't see it in the build sheet, not sure if it would show there tho.
-
Also was there ever a factory rubber bed mat? Doubt the one in it is but it looks in good condition so I'm slapping it in mine regardless.
-
Ok, figured it was aftermarket but never know, the plastic is still good
-
Yeah, I'm gonna use 100% of the interior but obviously will have some leftover things such as parking brake and dome lights if anyone is interested in stuff, but I'll be coming back to here with more questions like if that rear bumper is in some way desirable or whatever.
-
I figured if the sport bar had lights then it would be on the same switch as the fog lights. And yes lol, the whole frame is about to give but somehow it still runs and drives. The front driverside leaf spring bracket is literally not connected to the frame.

Just picked up this 87 Chief that I've been waiting to get for a long time. I'm actually trading labor for it, I pull the axles, trans, transfercase, and engine(I keep the a/c parts though), and I get to keep the rest of the truck. The main thing is just the interior and A/C I was after, but theres still a few more things around the truck I can still use. I made this thread because I already have a few questions and am sure I will have more later. First question is does anybody know what the switch on the right in the last pic does, the light comes on for it. Also, its supposed to run and drive, and it starts on aether but doesn't get fuel, can't hear the fuel pump turn on. The ground wire for it has already been cleaned behind the light and I did it again with no luck. Idk if this gives any useful information but I noticed the fuel gauge goes wayyy passed fuel, the pic w the gauge cluster is with the key on.

^The weirder thing was it didn't happen going down the road, I just went to fire it up one day and it had no spark.
-
I had a similar issue, but not nearly as bad. It wasn't very audible but it did kinda sputter randomly while I was cruising down the road, eventually it just lost all spark and didn't start. Eventually found the tip of the distributor cap was black and smashed like it was burnt out and crushed, and using sandpaper didn't help, also the contact part on the rotor was black. Replaced the rotor and cap and it fixed it altogether. I'd maybe check yours for any of those signs but other than that idk.

We have 3 in ours, only 2 currently wired for the outlet and in use. They have a high and a low setting just depending on which wires you use, and one used to run on the low setting but randomly started smoking than turned off one daybut the high wire still worked so

Cleanest MJ I've seen

Yeah but I think it's just a generic aftermarket dealer bumper that they put on different trucks, nothing Comanche specific, but I do like the dealer print on mine. -
oh ok

here's what it looks like. I have a friend w an 86 bullnose that has an identical bumper, just no Jeep print obviously. -
For the MJ colors and trims is there an easy way to auto-sort through our registry sheet to get an approximation for trims/colors for each year?
-
oh thats weird then lol
-
Never knew about this til now, but I see it already put me on there. If I change my location to Stockbridge is it gonna automatically update or do I have to do it manualy?
-
Yea I kinda figured it was lol
-
How hard is it to adjust? I always kinda figured it would be made difficult on purpose.
-
Already done that, I have the black newer style tach cluster
-
And I'm 30 minutes south of ATL it ain't like I'm in the middle of nowhere, I see plenty of XJ's sitting and driving.
-
Seriously? for the past 2 years, I've seen 3 MJ's on the side of the road parked and sitting in someones driveway or yard. I've never once seen one on the road, but I know of at least 4 somewhat nearby that are driven on the road, just never seen them in person.

Also, the dealer bumper(as I'm calling it) is exactly the same as mine, only mine has "Jasper Jeep Sales" "Jasper, GA" imprinted on both sides. Are those in any way Comanche specific? Only had that thought because my dad's 97 f250 has a special dealer option bumper that he ordered when he bought it new. -
