  1. It all went well, thank you
  2. I currently have a black gauge cluster in my truck with all of the gauges working, but my truck originally came with a grey gauge set and dummy lights. Since my parts truck has a grey gauge set with all of the gauges, I'm gonna put that in my truck, but I want to have my original miles and a trip-odometer. It has a plastic ratchet on the .1 mile spinner so I can manually roll it forward, but I have to do that for 30k miles so I'm trying to take the whole odo out and just skip right to the correct number. I think I see the clip I need to remove that will then let me remove the whole odo but I'd rather make sure thats the right way before popping it off and everything exploding for no reason. Am I right about how to do this?
  3. Yea I'm not the most well versed on them so I'm gonna do more research before I install it all, planning on replacing whatever I can while its easy. For all I know all of my current a/c parts r fine but I'm pretty sure before it was mine it sat with the condensor off for a while exposing the whole system to atmosphere, which I'm guessing ruined all of the orings. A while ago I did a pressure leak test and vacuum test and it seemed fine but when we tried charging it it suddenly burst from somewhere and leaked it all out. I did eventually find a hose with a big hole rubbed through and so I replaced it but haven't done anything since. I'm planning on just using everything from the donor truck, as well as a new accumulator and anything else thats hard to get to, as well as new orings everywhere. It might be a while before I actually do the swap tho, but I'm gonna pull all of the new a/c parts from the truck soon and cap every fitting off so it's not exposed to atmosphere in the meantime, unless I can somehow remove the entire a/c system without disconnecting it anywhere. If that's possible please somebody let me know.
  4. Yeah that was it, literally just open notifications and turn off push notifications for the browser. Ig mine got turned off one day
  5. My truck has a/c, just doesn't work, so I'm using all of the a/c components from the parts truck in mine.
  6. No but I think I just figured it out
  7. This has been an issue for a WHILE I just never mentioned it but randomly instead of getting a notification on every topic I started I only get notifications for the inbox, and I think when I'm quoted or messaged. Is there a setting I need to change or something because I prefered when I got a notification every time someone commented on one of my threads.
  8. I aint gonna use the Hvac box bc I can already see parts of it are rusty but I might take it apart just so I kinda know what to expect when I do it on my truck
  9. One more question for the experts, are the front coils worth keeping since they are a "UP COUNTRY SUSPENSION GROUP" option from factory? Obviously I'm gonna keep the leafs.
  10. The MJ in the pics is just a parts truck thats about to be sent to the scrap yard, but the interior is going in mine so I will replace the heater core and evaporator while I'm there.
  11. Thats awesome! Would you ever make a pair of those and sell them? I have a good set of spare mirrors and ofc those pieces are crumbled and brittle.
  12. Ok everything is pulled in the engine bay and interior except ac parts, it's still a closed system and hasn't been exposed to atmosphere yet. My plan was to leave the Hvac box or whatever you call the whole assembly in my truck and replace the A/C parts with the ones from this truck. So my question is is there anything else on or inside the Hvac box that I would need and wouldn't already be on my 89 for some reason? here's pics of where I'm at rn
  13. Dash is out and I don't think anything broke, the dash was surprisingly healthy feeling, not really brittle at all.
  14. I can just use my good pair, I just didn't like the idea of doing what I did before which is drilling the rivets out then using a bolt and nut, it just felt kinda cheap and I swear the chair felt loose. I'll probably just do that tho.
  15. Is there already a thread somewhere for doing a Renix EGR delete? I couldn't find one from the search bar. I wanna clean up my engine bay a bit and ofc make it run a bit better.
  16. I did that with my other set, I'm just trying to see if theres an easier option first.
  17. I could take the time to repair this floor bracket because I want to use these seats in my truck, but I was first wondering if there was a simpler way of somehow sliding the tracks apart and just combining the lower track/rail and good bracket from my other seat, along with the black seat and upper track/rail from the one in the pic. Does what I'm saying make any sense?
  18. I think everything is disconnected now, just need to unbolt/ loosen a few of the bolts then pray I disconnected everything else. Now that the carpet is also up take a look at how bad the rust is, the frame is literally gone and the trans tunnel and roof is the only thing holding the truck together
  19. And this is directly under where the cowl drains it's water, genius design. I just got a slightly better one from my parts MJ but I'm still gonna slather it up with rtv.
  20. I'll save what I can, I don't have high hopes for the backing plates still being in good condition tho, I mean look at the truck lol
  21. I know at least one of mine are cracked and brittle and yeah these are flexible so I'll be getting those
  22. I'm pulling off everything that's not broken or rusted and the stuff I don't use will be for sale. I'll post pics and a detailed list of it all when I'm done but feel free to mention stuff right now incase I miss it
  23. Yea thats what I was talking about with the damage, other side looks fine but
