Frame stiffeners w/rosette holes for MJ's would be cool, I can bend my own up but a cnc-ed plate to start with would be a nice start -

I'm looking at buying a friends 60 euro(w/semiphores) rag to build up, I can't bring myself to modify my 63, but a single port w/ original carb just doesn't move very well. I saw a 58/9 panel bus put down 27hp at an air only dyno day, I barely pulled him in traffic... :dunce:- 798 replies

iirc after Ford was given a contract to build the jeeps, they put the Ford logo on the tail panel, American Bantam or Willys then redesigned the tire carrier to cover Ford's logo.

You used to be able to start a listing on ebay and see the history report in the preview, but I guess they figured that out... Sorry I can't help you out.

you could look at the driver footwell from the bottom(underneath), poke at it with a pick, small screwdriver etc, If its solid you're good, if it passes through into your carpet, you were already SOL and the hole you just opened won't make much of a difference

If you can give me a heads up on a X/MJ D44, I'll come down and pull it, and compensate you for your troubles

I got a nearly new set with a blazer I bought, offroad they're decent, on-road they chop quickly and wear pretty fast, but for the price, they are an OK tire, just don't expect much and you'll be happy.

The lift is a Bend-Pak, they are available through Northern Tool for about $1650, I bought mine at auction for less than a 1/3 of that. It's decent for minor/tire work, but I would hate to work under one every day. IMHO it is still better than the $2k full rise chinese lifts, something about those things makes me queasy. When given the choice at a former employer, I picked the 30 year old Rotary over a 3 month old chinese lift, in 18 months the chinese one had 3 cylinders, two sets of alignment blocks and a hydraulic pump replaced, I put about 1/2 quart of fluid in the Rotary. A new Rotary would have been about $6k though.

:agree: I was only planning on 4-5", I bought a set of Rusty's springs that the seller said was 5",I knew this to be wrong, but for the price I was willing to take the chance. After some checking they are #808, 6.5 on XJ, 5.5 on TJ/ZJ. I am looking at a few options, swap/trade someone for 4.5's Buying 4.5's ($99 right now), going to a long arm system, Trimming the coils; both to lower height and to increase spring rate. Thanks for the info  I was aware of the need for arms, I planned on a lower lift to reduce cost. I will most likely buy 4.5's, later go to long arms, and use the 6.5's after I burn through a set of tires.

quick question, did you clearance the axle side of the LCA mount?(right behind the shock mount) It contacts the arm on mine, I am grinding a small portion away, it appears to be contacting in your pics aswell. -
