  1. Did you get a good deal on it?
  2. Here's a shot of the new rear slider: And here's one of the new console I picked up at the pull a part:
  3. Hate to bring up an old thread, but I really love the Rubicon wheel/tire package on this truck and the stance in general. Does anyone know what lift is on this Jeep?
  4. Good call. I checked last night and no, I don't have one, but I can't see any evidence of one ever being there. I guess I'll have to figure something out there. What does it look like?
  5. First of all... love your Rubi LJ. The box says "better built." I'm thinking of selling it if you're interested.
  6. Progress has been slow. A little more work has been done on the floor, but its still not done (I need to learn to weld....). The headliner and visors have been recovered (not installed yet). I got a new slider for the back and pulled a couple things from the junkyard (transfer case linkage and front drive shaft for the 4wd swap mainly). Speaking of.. I'm moving forward with the swap. I'll be ordering my axles this week '96-99 HP Dana 30 and '97-'01 8.25 with 3.55 gearing. I also plan on ordering my lift this week too (I'll install it when I swap axles). Right now its looking like Hell Creek's full 3" kit with lower control arms. Anything else I should get? Adjustable trackbar maybe, suggestions? This is going to be a DD with very little trail usage. I'm also planning on new wheels and tires. 31x10.50 all terrains (probably) or mud terrains (haven't decided) and 15x8 wheels, leaning toward 3.75" back spacing so they'll stick out some (I hate the look of wheels tucked real far under the flares, like my stock wheels). Comments/suggestions? I just realized that I have the last 11 posts in this thread. I must be the only one reading it :wavey:
  7. What size were your BFG A/T tires (on the first page)? For some reason they look a whole lot smaller than your TrXus 31x10.50s. Also curious, can you buy the RE super ride system without the rear leafs for the XJ?
  8. Their's say short add a leaf. Who offers a long add a leaf?
  9. For a fellow Charlottean (Charlotton?) IDK.... someone from Charlotte. http://www.quadratec.com/products/55014_101.htm I will be ordering a set for mine as well.
  10. I drove around with the windows down... all of them. I took the back window out to clean up before the new slider goes in. Hard not to enjoy at 72°.
  11. Looks like they're from the current body style Liberty.
  12. I have a backing board that could easily be repaired.
  13. I took my Jeep to the glass place and asked him about this. He said they would have to come remove the windshield and then I would have to cut off the tabs (he made it sound like they were metal that would have to but cut/ground and then possibly fill in some holes). After I did this they would come back and put in the new windshield. I'm not sure I understand correctly, but if they're only plastic, it doesn't sound very complicated. Can someone help me understand a little better?
  14. Took my new headliner and visors to the upholstery place to have them recovered. Faded orange/red won't match my gray interior.
  15. Love the truck man. I'm getting ready to do the same swap on mine. Got a question and a request: How did you connect the slave line from your existing clutch master to the new external slave? Can you take a picture of your seat mounts? I'd like to get some better bucket seats and yours look great, but I can't see how you connected them to the factory seat frame.
  16. I guess he smoked it all off. Yeah, I have a new headliner and full length visors that are in great shape, just faded. I'm having them recovered.
  17. I'm getting ready to have a new headliner recovered, but I'm curious what color my original one was. Here's what it looks like now: I was thinking about getting a standard light gray to match the interior panels cause that's what the visors look like, but the headliner sure looks blue to me. Either way it doesn't matter cause I'm getting new visors recovered to match as well. I just thought it odd that a gray interior would have a blue headliner.
  18. Mine is a 1990. I'm putting in an AX-15 (with external slave) and NP231 from a '95 XJ. Thanks.
  19. I like the stance on that. Do you have any info/specs on the lift and wheel/tire setup?
  20. Would your tires have rubbed in the front if your fenders hadn't been cut? I see that you had to trim them on the back side, but I was curious about the front.
  21. I'm converting my 2wd to 4wd and I need the transfer case linkage, but I can't find the linkage or the bracket that bolts to the body. All the Cherokees in the JY near me are automatics and that bracket is different for the manual transmission. I have a handle, but I need the rest of the linkage, the bracket that bolts to the body and the bracket that bolts to the transmission.
  22. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/1620965449.html Since they're hard to come by in this part of the country.
  23. Wheels look good. Glad you finally got the right mirrors.
  24. Well, I took the glass off and pushed the needle to E and then restarted the truck. It came to somewhere between 3/4 and full. I then drove straight to the gas station and filled it up with 4 gallons. So, I guess its not that far off.
  25. Well, I went back and checked and it was the same until I turned it just to accessory and they all came back down except the gas gauge; its still pegged out.
