Wood grain is popular and nostalgic now with melineals. It the simplicity of design and function. It just simple straight forward engineering. No screen mounted in the dash but there is a place for a map. Old school is good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hay guys some of those wagoners are going for up to 50,000 in Cali FYI. The prices are going through the roof and parts are getting scarce. My girlfriend is looking for one now. We passed on one for 17 Grand 8 months ago. Now it’s probably worth 24 now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m not rock crawling or anything like that so I really don’t need it now. But if I could get it for a little bit better price I’ll snap it up and sit on if it’s full floating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s the details I need to know before getting this thing. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did some reading and figured out the between the semi loading and full floating. I’m not sure which one type of is didn’t know to look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don’t know a lot about gearing and axels so free floating ? School me on that and the difference of a possitract. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It 10 bolts count them 3 times just to make sure. I’ve got Dana 44 front and rear on both my Comanche and Cherokee those are 9 bolt patterns. It got the larger rear drums on it too. Pattern is an egg on its side just like the D44s. It’s 10 bolts not 9. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ya keep eye on the yards innovatory list online. The seat skins only cost 6-8 bucks. It an easy way to freshen up an interior but you have to keep an eye out for them and be ready to jump on it ASAP. That’s how the game work when hunting up part for these great old trucks. It’s actually something I really enjoy. It’s like a treasure hunt. I recently found a Lund in KAnsas City Missouri for 70 buck. Got it just by chance. Now I have to decide which car to put it on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought who puts a stick where you can’t see. Other then a shop that may have rebuilt it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh ya it had a round sticker on the cover but it was to far gone to read it. That another reason I thing it’s been rebuilt. The sticker was about the size of a quarter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well there is a faded out line up a sign on the door. Truck belong to a place that sold appliances. So this truck was probably used to carry around appliances delivered them and pick up old ones. So if they were there original owners they may have ordered that axle because the truck was doing a lot of hauling. All the purchase looks stock. The pumpkin it looks like it’s been painted green. A shop may have done that on a rebuild. The reason I say it might be a rebuild rebuilders there is nothing on the truck that carries anything other than the stock paint job. It didn’t have a lift on it. Everything else is bone stock. No other weird paint. The only thing out of the ordinary is the green pumpkin. And that’s just the cover is painted green. Truck looks great really like what you doing with it. Got a tip for you on those seats. Search the junkyards for the same seat obviously. Paul the skins off the passenger seat. Pretty sure they can go on the driver seat. You could even pull good foam off the passenger seat and reattach it to the driver seat if you’d like. Passenger seat usually in a lot better condition. That’s what I do and it’s working out pretty good. If you have a hole for the seat adjustment in the wrong Side of the skin pull the little plastic round piece that covers the seatbelt screws. I’m talking where they attach to the side of the drive shaft hump. For the life of me I can’t think of the proper name for that. But that little round plastic piece can be used to cover any holes in the side of the seat. Just super glue it down the road however you want.If you’re not too particular about and all stock look that works. Truck is good glad you saved it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Last time I was was in Death Vally was an El Niño year and they were kayaking on the Vally floor. Water was so salty if you put a leather boot in it you may as well throw them away. You could have floated a nail in it. Me and buddy started in the morning at mount Wilson the highest point in the lower 48 and headed to Death Vally the lowest point in the lower 48 in the same day. My buddy is a geologist and did some field work in the Panamint area. It was a hell of a trip. That night the wind was so strong it moved my pop-up sideways. We packed it in after that went across the border and got a room at a casino. My buddy Paul got up early and started plays slots and won enough to pay for the room and breakfast. It was the rite move packing it in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Their was an old miner at the turn of the century. He had a claim on the mountain. He would tell people that he was going pan a mint on that mountain. That’s how it got the name. Cali was full of characters like that. Called him Panamint Jim. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They tell you why they call Panamint? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wear yellow safety glasses at night and that seems to help my eyes with on coming lights. Really cuts down on my eye fatigue and headaches. You got all these road warriors giving you ideas but we just want you to make the trip with O problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If your working 13hr days then your body should be use to putting in long stretches. Just think of it as putting in 3 13hr days in a row. That should you close if not to the destination. Its better if that last day is short as possible. I’ve driven it strait through a few times and that is rough. I’ll never do that again just to dicey. The shortest was 26 hr and that was out of KC. Glad you truck in good shape. Your main issue is going to be the grind and staying alert. Things are going to work out just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
