You might clean those injectors it wouldn't hurt. Some good videos DIY on line. If you have checked or replace all on that. Cleaning the injectors would just get you down the road that much farther for performance and improved mileage. Not sure if that would fix it but you will be happy you did. After I cleaned the ones on my Eliminator it made a sizable difference. Check your fuel pressure to and change the fuel filter. Totally start fresh with a clean system. Let me guess: Last time you voted for a guy you didn't like was November 8, 2016? I just voted for the MJ - now off to my phone and vote for it again. Then get ask Anita to vote for the MJ on her IPad and her phone. Could have been Nov of 2012 or 1998 or 1994 or 1990 or 1986 or 1982. You never really know for sure. Don't assume anything. You might be surprised. Maybe you'll push that MJ over the top. Ya never know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hope you didn't use a hangman's noose for a seatbelt. Just kidding ya. Did you put in buckets? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Suzuki 4 wheeling is one thing but this is just hard to rap your head around. If the guy did this to get attention, he got it. Just not sure if it's the attention that he was seeking. Seems like a bit of a waste to me. But I'm old school hotrod. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't even know if I would like the guy. Last time I cast a vote for a guy I didn't like I regretted it. There's a reason why we're MJ owners we think a little different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you or the girl in your life have any lower back issues the bench can be an SOB. Having the ability to change the lumbar position on long trips can save some pain. If the bench doesn't have headrests ( like mine) your in a would of hurt if you get hit hard from behind. The back of the neck can roll over the back of the seat and bounce the skull rite off that glass. If you get lucky maybe the glass will shatter and give a little, if you call that lucky. That's what rolls around in my head when I look at that bench set. Nothing like an internal head injury to go along with that whip lash. Sorry for the gallos humor on this guys but I've had 2 broken necks in 2 separate accidence 35 yrs apart. I've threaded the needle twice don't think I would that lucky a third time. Got a set of buckets out of a 2drxj the skins for the sets I got out of 4drxj. You can find what you want just takes timing and a bit of luck. As far as carrying 3 people. My 10yr old was uncomfortable and I have a column shift. That's a pretty big hump running down the center of that floorboard for such a small truck. A car seat for a kid might work in the center but they would be the only one that would be comfortable. Just the nature of the beast that we all love. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not a bad looking truck. Do you know what excels are under it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Decals make a huge difference. With the black trim it's going to be a nice contrast with the blue. I like stock accents so enjoy what your doing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had an XJ prop valve on mine and never felt quite right to me. I'm upgrading my brakes too and went with the 96 WJ booster I recently read the same post on prop valves and decided to put the MJ valve back on. Wish I'd never messed with taking it off. Created more problems then it was worth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Exhaust manifolds and C.A.R.B.
jeeppapa replied to Motorhead X's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Agreed, your just not going to get a whole lot more out of it by going with a header. I would get it welded and slap it back on. Put the money that you would spend on your header into some 4 port injectors. You'll get allot more bag for your buck or get a less restrictive air intake. The injectors is where you'll really notice a difference. I've got a cracked one that is going to get welded and put on my 88. The flow on that design was pretty good out of the factory. Just my though on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Congratulations to you both. Now you have to get another Comanche. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That bench in Lancaster is really nice. The guy running wanted to-sell the entire truck for 600. I'll be pulling the bench out of my Pioneer in a few week. Picked up some buckets for it and console. I' got my eye on an 88 long bed that's sitting in a field not far from my house. The guy that owns it quoted my 600 on it last year. I wasn't able to pop on it at that time. Now the guy won't return my calls. He wants to communicate through his mother. He almost acts like he is hiding out from one. The truck is on his mothers property. The plate is dated 2006. It's an 88 Olympic addition 4.0, 4x4, 5 speed, long bed, bench set, with 212,000 on it. It's a mess inside really rough interior. A mix of different colors on the panels and the like. R front fender need to be replaced. But no A/C that's Sucks. I'm going to keep at and maybe I'll get it some day. His mom is great to talk to but is kind of a jerk. His mom has given me his number twice and said he was expecting my call. I call the he doesn't answer or retune my messages. It been frustrating to say the least. Mean while the truck just sits there and rots. It s descent truck I'd love get it back on the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ya we will set something up, a meet and greet. May be we get something going here in the LA area, some mutual support. Some part sharing and knowledge support. BTW there is s Comanche 87 in the Pick your Part JY in Sun Valley. It's got bucket seats. I saw the picture of it on line but if you zoom in you can tell they are buckets. Not sure if the seats are still there but the truck should be. It was put in the yard on 7/3. There is a really nice black bench seat at A-Z or All American in Lancaster. I got the speedo out of it. Truck only had 83,000 on it. It's a shell but the seat is still in it. Let's keep in touch and set something up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What should I get - parts MJ?
jeeppapa replied to 87MJTIM's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'll never live in a community with an HOA again? I went to war with one when they tried to tell what color curtains to hang on the inside of my condo. Because that were visible from the outside. Lots of retired control freaks with to much time on their hands. I made sure that one got voted out of office. To political. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hay what area in SoCal? I would like to find some MJ owners that are close to me. I'm in Palmdale area not far from Edwards Air force Base and north of LA. The truck is looking good and welcome to the club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
