Period correct custom 1989 Comanche
jdog replied to Dickinson County Comanche's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
The thermostat actually works opposite, then what your thinking, a 160 degree will open when the engine reaches 160 and thats it, once its 161 and above that thing will not close again, once its open the engine will reach its operating temp which is 200/210 depending on how good the system is. it doesn't keep the motor at 160. if you have an overheating issue while stopped you either have a bad clutch fan or a bad radiator. Please, when you fix the issue install the correct thermostat your engine and fuel mileage will thank you -

Ah you are on mobile, it's a poll asking yes or no so that I can get a sample group to see if they all have that code in the build sheets
-
This doesn't surprise me at all, are you building something with all the hooks you have?
-
If you actually look at safety restraint history it is really strange, lap belts optional before 64, as well as heaters. Airbags had been installed in the 70s then removed, and now we have vehicles that are more airbags than vehicle.
-
But shoulder belts were mandatory that's why I'm thinking it's the grab handle as it was optional in the lower Trims
-
Atempting to figure out the meaning of this: RR Head Restraints Outboard Seating Thinking it might be for the passenger grab handle
