86 MJ is not going to have the same front skin. 84-86 XJ and (assuming) 86 MJ had a shorter engine bay and thus had shorter hood and fenders. Also the header panels don't attach to the fenders the same as Renix and HO models from what I have heard. Now, I have not had the need or desire to test this in person as I stay away from anything older than 87 Cherokee based

Probably easier to find a Cherokee headlight harness.

Dakota 40/20/40 seat brackets
Goose_XJ88 replied to flyn2er's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I go back and forth on Dakota seats or XJ/WJ buckets. If I end up doing the Dakota seat swap, I plan on trying to do a comprehensive writeup. But who knows how long that will be down the road with all the projects I have planned. And yes I know WJ will require fab work and I have MJ bucket brackets already for the XJ seat swap -
Just for clarification, this is what I am looking for.

Genssi 80W CREE LED White 1156 Reverse Lights
Goose_XJ88 replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
ok cool. I was thinking that the Superbright website might be junk. do you recall the brightness or color you chose for most of your interior lights? Too bright in the cab is one of my main concerns. I know there is an LED comparison thread on here but I was hoping first hand experience is better than "what works on paper" -
Did he happen to sell you all the mounts too? I'm curious what the lower mounts and fender mounts look like. I need to fabricate my own.

You don't happen to have a thread somewhere talking about your led setup or your truck build by chance do you? I'm looking to go all led as well but am apprehensive on what is a decent combination for each type of light. I have the same feelings about the cluster lights. I feel like they would be too bright for my taste. -

What type of DD car should I look at? Opinions!

I had a 94 corolla wagon that I beat the snot out of for a little over a year. The best part was that it got 33-35mpg on the hwy and I was able to fit 4 33" tires in the back with the seats down. I used it as my parts runner so I cut up a pickup plastic bed liner to fit in order to protect the carpet from oil and grease stains. I loved that thing until a trans output bearing started killing wheel bearings left and right. Decided to sell it for half of what I paid for it.. Got 35k miles out of it in a year so I was happy with my investment. -
added myself to the map.

Thanks. I worked for a while to change it up from yours and I actually like it more than before.

Looking for the factory rollbar mount that goes to the "frame". Mine is a SWB so not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Hey guys, new Comanche owner here. Been lurking for a little bit but thought I should probably join finally. Bought a nice 92 Comanche SWB . :MJ 1: . for $1200 because it wouldn't pass smog.(built in 91, so no need to get hopes up for it being the last off the line) Anyways, on to my question. I just found a guy that is parting out a 91 Comanche and only has the engine harness and cab harness left. (already scrapped the truck :fs1: ) -Is the computer and engine harness the same between a HO MJ and HO XJ? Should I jump on this because I won't be able to find another spare easily? -Are the cab harness between renix and HO MJ's the same or should I jump on the Cab harness? To clarify, I don't have any wiring issues currently but I want to have spares if they aren't interchangeable since these HO MJ's are harder to find. Thanks for the help. I will be sure to add my MJ to the registry as well as start a build thread for it when I am not so swamped with work.
