  1. I tried that and it makes no sound at all when I put in in "reverse" =P
  2. I installed a new pump and reinstalled my tank. I am certain I installed it correctly but I am getting no fuel out of the new pump with roughly 3.5 gallons in the tank. I have the lines disconnected before they go into the under body hard lines. I checked for 12v at the plug and I am getting that. Any ideas?
  3. Apparently I am missing seat belt latches... Anyone have any in gray? Texted the PO to see if he might have them stashed somewhere.
  4. Ironically I was looking for non-breakaways =P never had good luck with the break away ones on the 6 cherokee/comanches I have had.
  5. I have the wing pieces just not the bolts. The mirror is excellent! Works perfect and is in really good shape for a used mirror.
  6. I bought some random vacuum fittings and glue so I will try and repair the old one. The metal tube underneath is crimped off also so will need to do some repair there.
  7. Got a mirror from @eaglescout526 and installed it today. Unfortunately the bolts are missing from the non-existent mirrors on this truck. Found some of the right size in my parts bin but they are 10mm instead of Torx. Oh well. Also splurged on a black vinyl steering wheel as the leather one had disintegrated. Bought U-joints and fuel hose today and the rest of the major parts come in tomorrow. Does anyone know what the plugs in the gas tank go to? Charcoal canister? One of mine is busted, thinking of just plugging it...
  8. Goal is to get it on the road ASAP and use it for the summer while I gut my converted garage and prepare it to house another roommate. Started on fluid immediately but I have a small list of must do's before it gets on the road. This is the short list to only get it driving and nothing else. -Tires -Battery -Harmonic balancer -Reinstall fuel tank -Fuel pump -A taillight -A mirror -Rear u-joint
  9. Had this dropped off to me on Saturday. Bought it from another forum member! It's been sitting and needs a few things for sure.
  10. 1989 Comanche Eliminator 4.0/2wd/AW4 Very little rust but needs plenty of work. Supposedly was saved from being parted out by the PO. Has a bed light that looks original with an accompanying factory looking switch. Havent seen that before but maybe it is common? I own it. Built 03/89
  11. Sorry, I thought I had done so but I put it in my profile information instead
  12. That's crazy man. Glad to hear you are okay!
  13. Finished my year long AC ducting and unit swap last weekend. Also had a sliding door fail catastrophically so fixed that.
  14. I have other hobbies and got tired of carrying multiple screen names =P Torq was chosen because I used it as a variable name when writing a dynamometer calibration tool for my job a number of years ago. Shep because I dress up as a giant dog and party like I am still 21 from time to time.
  15. This is the radio plug for this truck.
  16. UPDATE: Bought a drivers mirror. Still looking for a passenger mirror with the above specs (I can be pickier on that one =P) Thanks @eaglescout526 Bought a steering wheel on ebay Bought a door handle on ebay Bought a tail light from @500 MJ Still interested in a decent radio or cassette deck, and the passenger mirror. Would be interested in front fenders, passenger OEM back bumper cap (yeah right), and manual window regulators.
  17. I am looking for the following parts to get my new to me 'Manche back on the road. A passenger taillight (some damage okay) Rearview mirrors (preferably adjustable and non folding but beggars arent choosers) Passenger exterior door handle and button. Also interested in a steering wheel (preferably black rubber one with 3 spokes but will consider gray leather 3 spoke) And an Am/FM jeep radio or cassette deck 1x AMC plug.
  18. You do not need a different floor pan and you should be able to use your factory crossmember. Both my comanche and my cherokee had a seperate set of holes in the unibody frame that were threaded to accept the studs and shift the crossmember forward or back. Also the brake pedal is part of the clutch and brake pedal assembly. You will need that whole assembly.
  19. My 89 had that same pretty blue color. Debating it on my 1990 (that or sand...).
  20. If you are passing though SA give me a holler!
  21. Added myself. Looks like a 3+ hour drive from me to any of y'all.
  22. New engine in place Lined up Drivers side motor mount mocked up and set in place Passenger Side motor mount mocked up Stripped the interior to find mouse nests, mouse carcasses, and floorpan cancer...
  23. And engine out... Exhaust folded in half when i pulled it off...
  24. End of weekend 1: Everything is disconnected from the engine. Might try and pull it out tonight.
