  1. What got moved during the injector installation? Any bare wires, harness crimped somewhere?
  2. EXTREMELY RARE.
  3. I can't see that happening....
  4. It only goes off ONCE, at about 80,000 miles. Up under dash near column, it's a see-through box.
  5. Yes. That's the Idle Speed Controller aka ISC motor.
  6. When it happens, is the plunger sticking out and holding the throttle linkage open?
  7. I wonder if your catalytic converter is messed up. A vacuum test would verify that. CRUISER’S VACUUM TEST FOR EXHAUST RESTRICTION Your vacuum gauge should come with an instruction booklet outlining the procedure. Hook the vacuum gauge up to a source on the intake manifold. Start the engine and note the vacuum reading. Usually 17 to 21 inches of vacuum. Throttle the engine up to 2,000 to 2,500 RPM for 20 seconds or so and the vacuum reading should stabilize to the same reading you got at idle. Let the throttle snap shut. The vacuum reading should shoot up about 5 inches of vacuum higher for a second and then come quickly down to the original reading. If the vacuum reading stays high and comes down slowly with jerky needle movements, you have an exhaust restriction.
  8. Progress. Why are you replacing the knock sensor? End pulled off?
  9. Please keep us in the loop.
  10. Click on my link below and read posts 1, 2, 3 and 18.
  11. 5 is kinda high. Whaddya mean .17 "difference"?
  12. I'm suspicious of that tube also. Unplug it at idle when it's acting up and see if things get worse or stay the same. Also be sure the electrical plug is secure in the MAP.
  13. There's a system that gives higher voltage to the fuel pump is Start position. You have the classic bad ignition switch problem.
  14. I'd have to be CC, CF, JF too!!
  15. Have you taken a peek into the oil filler hole with a flashlight and assessed the sludge accumulation?
  16. You could have a bad ignition switch.
  17. This looks like fun. I might just have to go.... http://www.overlandexpo.com/details/
  18. Doubtful. Perhaps you need to get a mechanic's stethoscope/
  19. Take a look at the harmonic balancer on the front of the crankshaft and see if it's hitting the timing cover.
  20. Try this also. Remove the Fram. Install a Wix or Napa gold and see what happens.
  21. Unplug it. Spray out the connector with BrakeKleen, and put a little squeeze on the female connector. Plug it back in.
  22. The link you're looking for is below: Start with Post 1. Less than $15 in parts and takes about 45 minutes to do. Post 3 is good to do also. What year?
