There's 2, maybe 3 of the old bars left. They've been so fancyfied you wouldn't recognize them now. All the others have been converted to tourist traps, er, I mean souvenir shops. There's still some of the old action on North Nevada but most of it has moved to Fountain. Not that I would know from personal experience but that's what I've heard.

The MJ pump has higher operating range than the ZJ. The release valve on the MJ is 1400psi. on the ZJ it is 1100-1200. Operating pressure for the MJ is 125psi. For the ZJ 150psi. If I was doing it I would go ahead and swap. Keep a eye on the box for leaks. If any develop then set the relief valve to a lower setting. Also in about another week or so I plan on doing the same swap. Let me (us) know how yours turned out, or just wait until I've finished. Or to answer your question, yes it should.

Got any place in mind? Or just looking for some feedback? Any way sounds good to me.

Did you know that the connecting links between a 1996 and a 1997ZJ won't interchange? I didn't, until I tried doing it today. :fs1: :fs1:

I am aware of the emissions label year date. My primary concern was getting the month in trying to find the last '92 built. So actually is after '92 info more than the other years. Also think it's crappy that they put a info label on a vehicle that doesn't hold up. With all the interest looking for the last MJ built, why is there not the same interest in trying to find the first one built? Would the VIN be 000001, or would they start it with 1? 100001? Curious minds want to know.

Pueblo, Colorado In the U-Pull-It, East 4th st. White, 2.5 engine, AX4, D44, 4;11 now in my yard. This was a clean, dent, rust free truck and whoever sold it as junk should be shot.

Is there another way to check the build date on MJ"S besides the door label? I checked 15 MJ doors for build dates. Only one was legible. 2 were painted over and might be readable if the paint was gently removed, or maybe not. That's 12 illegible labels. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one with this problem, or am I? :dunno:

You only need to post your question once. That is a technical question so it should only be posted in the tech section.

As you look at the ign coil have the HV and plugs facing you. The tach is the lower right connector. That one is used for testing. There is a remote terminal connector, pigtail, above the heater fan housing. That is the one your dash tach is reading.

About 6 months back I replaced the CMC in 3 MJ'S and 2 XJ'S using after market rebuilts. So far no problems. I also wrapped all my drivers Fuse Panels in Saran wrap. Don't know if it's going to help or not but can't hurt.

No. TBI is still fuel injection and requires 30+ PSI. Carb only requires 4-6 PSI

Leave it off. Easier to keep a eye on the fluid level.

low compression on all cylinders

Worn rings, cylinders. It's ready for a rebuild. -

The console was all busted up from who ever pulled the tranny. It's 110 miles from me or I would take the TL back and get the rest of the interior. Being Dakota would explain why it was left and other side was gone. And as for black interior, why can't all the panels be removed and recovered with black material? Or painted? Will a XJ console fit in the MJ? I could go try one but just wondering if it's already been done. Tried.

Because it's a gud 'un.

Little Bro just left. What I got for $85. Seats are sorry but useable. What I understand the brackets is the goodies. Anyway I got XJ seats all over the place. Tailgate is nice, no rust or dents. Just a little wear rubs. Tail light is weird. All four screws mount from the outside. Every TL I've seen the two inner screws go in from the TG opening. He didn't get the VIN.

A hot spot in one of the cylinders. A piece of carbon is glowing red hot and acting like a glow plug in a diesel engine. Try one of the carbon removers on the market, or remove the head and clean off all carbon from the head chamber and top of piston. Also at the same time you turn the key off tromp on the gas pedal. The sudden intake of air will kill it.

Just the fact he is advertising it as for comanche, cherokee tells me he doesn't have a clue. It is for a fuel injection, not carb. I would have to get a unit from both a MJ and XJ so I could compare them with the pic better. I would say it's for the XJ.

As far as I can remember, early '50's, Jeep vehicles have always cost more than comparable vehicles. They have also held their value longer. Ain't arguing with nobody. Just stating a personal opinion.

That is not a truck. Just a short cab Jeep.

The body's completely rusted out. All you see is the paint still holding it's shape.
