You have a very rare MJ. want to sell it? Anyhoo, '97 up parts will not fit '92 back MJ or XJ.

1989 Short box 1989 Long box. Notice both have the access opening on the side. All MJ gas tanks are similiar.
-
Long or short bed? I have swapped fuel pumps on several '89 LB'S and it was fairly easy. On a '89 SB it was easier to do after dropping the drive shaft. Not likely it was a XJ swap.

In the late forties, early fifties California registration slips were pink. They were all that was necessary to prove ownership of a vehicle. Also along this time hot rod movies were the biggies, Hot Rod Girls, Death Club. Crash Club, Beach Racers, etc, etc. One of the major plots in these movies was racing for pink slips, that is both racers would put up the pink slip to their hot rod, with the winner taking possession of both vehicles. California led. The rest of the nation followed.

I'm in. Let me talk to the ol boy downstairs. With all the business I've sent his way and the fact we're on a first name basis I think I can convince him to be receptive to the plan. :brows:

I'm investing heavily in locust futures. A cockroach will out last a locust every time. No I meant that I am investing in locusts as thats what I suspect will be the end of days. Which horseman of the Apocalypse are you investing in? The Apocalypse has horses? I want a join.

With impending doom facing us all, the end of the world, I have noticed a glaring shortage of a needed service. INSURANCE. That's right. Insurance. Not one insurance company is offering a dooms day package. I intend to fill that need. I will be selling DDIP's (Doomsday Insurance Packages) from the tail gate of my MJ which will be parked in the alley off Main St between 5th and 6th streets, thus eliminating overhead allowing me to offer more reasonable rates. I will be offering life insurance for you and your loved ones as well as property damages. All MJ trucks receive a 15% discount on comprehensive coverage. If you or anyone insured under this policy loses their life as a direct result of the world ending your beneficiary receives 10 times the face value of the policy. If any MJ receives any damage as a result of the world ending the pay off is 100% of the policy face value. How can anyone refuse an offer like this? Sorry. Due to the nature of this offer only gold coins will be accepted as premium payments. Don't delay, send those coins today. When you feel the earth trembling 'neath your feet it will be to late. Jims' Insurance, Ltd.

I have it from a reliable source that in 1492 some Portugese clown is sailing from Spain using the latest GPS available to find a new world. Halfway there one of his ships is going to spring a leak and sink so hard it will punch a hole in the bottom of the ocean and all the water is going to drain out, leaving a dry arid world behind in which nothing will survive. Mankind as we know it will no longer exist. The entire world will be a dry, desolate wasteland. The only survivors will be sand fleas, C#*@ roaches and 3 aliens who survived their space ship crash near Roswell, NM and have been hiding under a cactus plant. It's in the book.

Anyone have any experiance cutting coils.

Why not run a ad and see if you can trade with somebody? -
Surly you can remove four bolts, 8mm, in the time it would take to sawz it. If the nuts on the UBolts are so rusted you can't break them loose them cut the UBolts. Cut them where they bend.As for cutting the springs, if they're rusted in that bad then that's the way to go.I've found that many a time I can use a breaker bar and twist the head, or nut, off a bolt faster than any other way.

You were trying to be funny, but trouble is, that's something I really been thinking about. GF first husband owned a garage, salvage yard in OK when he was killed in a plane crash. Wierd thing there. His name was Jim same as mine, and he owned and was killed in same type plane as mine. Stearman PT-17. Anyway she just brought in a crusher and had the yard cleared, Junk, classics, collectables, everything and she's pretty well made it known as soon as I'm cold she's gonna do the same thing here. Been trying to figure the best way to prevent that. Thinking about talking to a lawyer but i hate the maggots so bad I don't even want to be in the same room with one, for whatever reason. Oh well Que sera sera. :dunno:

Don't know about the badges. Think I've seen a XJ with them on the front fender but not sure. Paint is original. He washed an waxed it for the sale. Second owner. Been garaged all it's life.

My buddy took my cousin fishing on his birthday. I met him the next day and asked if he'd caught anything. He replied "I don't know yet. It's only been one day now" Happy BD Hick92

I think we should contact our Washington Representatives and get MJ'S declared a national treasure, making it illegal to junk them. :USAflag:

This is the second one I got. 1989, 4.0L, 4speed, 4WD. Still working on pics of the first one.
-
There will be no pics. Just spent a hour fighting Photo Crap and decided it just wasn't worth the hassle.

Don't believe this. I've seen 6-8 months go by without a MJ ad in the local Craigs List. Today there were two posted within 4 hours of each other. I went to look at the first one, liked what I saw and made a ridiculous low offer on it. He accepted. This has to be the cleanest original MJ in the country. Got home and checked CL and there's a second one for sale, a 1989. Called the guy and going out tomorrow and get it. I mean look at it. I'll post pics as soon as I get a new camera. Busted the old one.

It looks like the correct mount to me. There is 2 studs in the bottom of the transfer case that goes thru those 2 holes.
