  1. The red is actually pretty cool looking, but it just doesn't work in a Blue truck... :D Definitely agreed
  2. I see on rear link systems, people are trying to keep their track bars as horizontal as possible. What is the reasoning for not doing this in the front? Not trying to threadjack, but if this is important, shouldn't it be addressed?
  3. Are the stock leaf perches still on? Also, what thickness of square tubing did you use? I'm not sure the amount of stress on a hydro-assist, but I think full-hydro would be bending 3/16.
  4. With more lift, your tires will still be rubbing while stuffing. I suggest, figure out where it's hitting, pull your carpet back, sawzall the sheetmetal that is in your way out of your way, and patch the hole with some new sheetmetal that's been contoured by a hammer. And of course, I'm here with a link of it done on a Yota: http://toyota.off-road.com/toyota/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=186287
  5. Yea...I gotta get some covers. :D Hopefully I'll come across some gray seats one day that are in good shape, but at least I have buckets now instead of that bench. ;) My interior: Love it.

The rims'll prob end up on my '78 Toy, if I ever work on it. Got too many other freakin projects, and Josh's truck to work on. Tis a small world after all. Goodluck on gettin an MJ!
  7. Happy new year. Hope you all donated enough in time!

Hey Trent! I'm one of Josh's friends, from Bend!
  9. Jack the truck up and measure the distance from the bump stops to axle, and that's how much travel you need in a shock. I think I remember 10" lift shocks for new Ford F-350s being 14" travel and cheap.
  10. You've still got the stock tape deck? Congrats on all the progress!
  11. Buddy's modded T-Maxx beat my buddy's modded RX-7, so pretty quick. Depends what you want to do, go fast or go slow (crawl) for what you look for.
  12. Gears must be set-up properly or they'll be non-existant by the time you test-drive it around the block.
  13. Those center lugs look real non-aggressive. Anyone see this tire on a trail?
  14. I see Krawlers
  15. Ugh, a T-Maxx vs E-Maxx debate...
  16. I always seem to cut a slit in bolts and use man muscles and a flathead screwdriver.
  17. There shouldn't be a problem with your trans and tcase as the block is the same, so your bellhousing will fit, and on and on and on. I believe Wranglers may be similar to XJs as having their gauges reverse polarity one year, not sure when. As for fuses, are you using his injection or yours?

    Hey Pete

I got some for Christmas, and they just came from a normal parts house. Chrome part number is #9134 from Trans Dapt. and I'm gonna swap mine in for black today.
  19. Only 2,266 miles for me! I dunno if anyone's interested in this? Eh, just throwing it out there.
  20. So I finally got this JP and read it today (and by the way, nice work getting into the mag!), and I don't think I'll be reading another JP. That John Cappa's a fool in the whole magazine.
  21. H4 Headlight conversion with some Schweet bulbs! I'm pumped about those. 80 watt low-beam, which is brighter than legal light hi-beams... People will Hate me. :D Hmm, also some sockets, and I don't remember what else. Mind's locked on those bulbs.
  22. They're beautiful in situations like that. Full of oppurtunity.
  23. good job. That's just one of those amazing presents.
  24. gah, people these days. :rotf:
