  1. did you cut those openings on the inside of the door? because my doors looked nothing like that.
  2. ok here is some stuff. this is the pass side. this is the driver side 15" from the bottom of the door to the lowest portion of the cut
  3. being a fulltime student at an engineering college doesnt help haha
  4. i personally wish i would have put a handle on the inside. it sucks having to open and close the door with the outside handle.
  5. on the inside of the door.....i cut the outside to be level with the lower portion of the huge opening on the inside of the door (if that makes any sense). I'm still in the process of making my pass side door, so i will try and take some pics tomorrow for you. and for the sheet metal, i just brought a piece of the door and matched it to what they had at the steel yard.
  6. yeah there are some pics in my build thread. i actually had to make 2 separate doors before i was happy. i used WAY to heavy of sheetmetal (don't remember gauge) but the door turned out to be heavier then a full door once it was fully welded hahaha. now this second one is super light, and i cut it different so it was more comfortable to rest my arm on. overall its a GREAT improvement because you get the visibility of no doors, but you also get some protection. now if i could only find some time to finish the passenger side...
  7. the unibody can handle being doorless. the MJ has a pretty strong frame for being a unibody. i have wheeled doorless before, and my doors close and open fine. but like said before, half doors win in the cool factor. i always get complements on mine whether on the trail or just parked in town somewhere.
  8. this thread makes me laugh. :rotf:
  9. mine. i forget what i have in them at the moment but it was obviously way cheaper then buying a bumper. front weighs 120lbs with the winch. never weighed the rear.
  10. yeah, i think that is actually the correct spelling. not quite sure why its not used by the all the news programs. thats the most ridiculous thing i have heard since......well the last time you said something to me.
  11. first time in a long time there wasnt rain! hahaha. Rob and I (along with our gf's) had a good day today. i didnt buy anything besides a hamburger, but Rob got some stuff...
  12. its cool, but it will never be comancheclub. oh and they spelled comanche wrong....
  13. that is what Fred Perry used on (i forget what year) Ultimate Adventure.
  14. i would be down for something. i guess it just depends on the weekend.
  15. 84 degrees in April=the first doorless day of the year.
  16. now that i know the tricks, maybe a minute per side.

    Hello CC!

do they just let anyone in this place now?
  18. indeed. i forget what thickness though.
  19. i made my own 4-link and love every bit of it. our trucks have a longer wheelbase than most, so the unloading characteristics of a y-link type suspension arent as noticeable. really, any properly built long arm kit will be tons better than a short arm design. most people will make y-links just because of simplicity.
  20. because you can't do this with a stock height truck...
  21. looks fixable
  22. i put mine on the back wall of the cab
  23. looks familiar
  24. i love this truck... but not as much as this submission......Rob :rotf:
