Squeegy410 replied to Squeegy410's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
good deal  thanks guys  ok so with the new donor i'll have a new front axle (btw what are the options on a front axle? like d30? or what?) and i think I'm trading my rear axle from a 3.07 to a 3.55 . now all i need is transfer case for a ba 10/5 or a whole ba 10/5 with a 4wd transfer case OR (and more preferably) an ax 15 with a 4wd transfer case. any iput on how i should go about getting these? -

he wants the d44 because its a good pos. but anyway i don't think my truck has 3.07 gears. wouldnt 3.07 be realllly long legged? because my truck isnt long legged :dunno: -

is a 3.55 a bad or a good swap from a 3.07? i ask alot of dumb questions but i learn that way lol. -
My brother bought an 89 cherokee laredo. he took all four doors off for summer and then got bored with it so i now have a parts jeep  i owe him some cash but that doesnt matter :rotf: anyway it is a 4wd and mines not so thats my first order of business. only problem is the doner is an automatic and i don't want an automatic so I'm guna just change the front end until i can find a transfer case or whole tranny. i don't want to change my rear end but I'm not sure if the gears are the same. they are both D44's. how do i check the ratio on my rear end?

Should i get these wheels?!?
Squeegy410 replied to Squeegy410's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
thats exactly what i thought. i want some that stick out past the fender flares (like yours pete) but i can't stand the rediculous tire size, price, or gas mileage. i think ill pass these up. what tires do you suggest for stock jeep 15's? and how would you reccomend making them stick out past the flares? -
OK, long story short a friend of mine wants to trade me a set of wheels for a gun of mine. i love the wheels, but I'm not sure if i can afford to put tires on them. the wheels would require like 31 15.50 15's tires. the wheels are pretty nice. they have a couple different lug patterns on them and one fits the jeep. they are made to stick out away from the hubs, the lugs go way back in the wheels and the wheels should come out past the fenders. i think they will look good but i don't know about the tires. any input??

3m super 77 has done great on mine and it is black. it lasted through a sweltering summer here with lots of humidity. what kind of glue did you get? idk headliner glue. me and my dad failed and there are many wrinkles :ack: but its better then it hanging down :D yeah you have to be very tedious to get it smoothe. i sprayed it in about 6 inch strips and got it very smoothe by doing it a little at a time, you can always do it again  -
no strays  maybe not the strongest or prettiest, but its a very good start

here's an entirely different headlight question haha. if i turn my truck off before i turn off my headlights, they stay on. the buzzer turns off when i turn the headlight switch off, but the lights themself stay on. if i turn the ignition switch all the way to on then they turn off. any input?

Man invents manchine that convert from plastic to oil!
Squeegy410 replied to comanche12's topic in The Pub
:hijack: back to the subject lol plastic is made from petroleum, but i doubt it could ever be converted to oil. however if we stopped making so much plastic and using the original petroleum to make oil instead that would be grand ;) oh, and interestingly you can take plastic and light it and watch the sparks fly. it is quite pretty actually :rotf: -

looks great  what kind of hitch did you end up going with? -
Here in gallatin (TN) they have emissions tests. my mj barely has any O or HC so it passes fine, but any new car going through gets plugged up to a computer and fails if anything is abnormal. its rediculous. OH! and recently the fools decided that DIESELS have to pass an emissions test. to my knowledge not one diesel has failed, it is just some more governmental money scraping from the pockets of those who have no money to give.
