  1. The Monroe site had a really good shock chart last I checked, too. If you find a set that has the right length and ends you can cross reference the application to the brand of shocks you want.
  2. I'd also check nates. But rock rails aren't meant to protect you in a tbone. They're just for rocks and logs and stuff between your tires.

  4. They're Commander headlights. I'll get a side picture when I can.
  5. I'm on 33s w 4.5 backspacing on about 4.5 inches lift. I had to flatten the pinch weld and cut fenders. I ended up going to fiberglass fenders and all is well.
  6. Nothing wrong with closed systems. New cars are going back to closed systems. The surge tank on the Comanche was just a colossal mistake.
  7. I replaced my cracked plastic tank with a new plastic tank and cap. 6 months later it started leaking again. Went ahead and stepped up to the Mac's aluminum tank and am very happy.

  9. They're Commander headlights. Worlds better lighting than the factory lights. I upgraded to relays and better wiring on the factory lights, then switched out to these lights. I think the lines flow well with the fenders. It's my daily driver so I'm limited in scope on projects, so I end up doing a lot of little things here and there. Kind of a Hodgepodge I guess.
  10. It's just a gutter mount system with the crossbars and a smaller roof rack bolted to it. I turned the rack 90 degrees so it was wide and didn't stick out over the bed much(basically just a few inches above the roll bar). It's large enough to hold a 33" tire and hi-lift or other stuff. I had a spare and a few toolboxes up there for most of the year but recently took it off because I have a longer commute now and I wanted every little MPG I could easily get. It's just sitting in my garage now.
  11. I ran 31s at stock height with natural rust clearancing without issues. running 33s now at about 4" but I have prerunner style fenders. Only had to pound the pinch weld. Get some rubbing on the LCAs at full lock but no issues otherwise.
  12. holy ginormous. Not sure how to fix that
  13. Been a long time since I updated this. I've made some progress.
  14. This is awesome. Hope to see this finished
  15. Eh, I can cruise at 65 for the 45 minutes it takes me to get to my dad's just fine. I can merge into the highway without trucks. I've got the trans run through an auxiliary cooler in front of the radiator, but that's it. Works for me. When I'm ready to upgrade my axles I'll go for 4.10 or better but it runs just fine as is.
  16. The rear only looks like a full frame. It's the same weak sheet metal as the front. People plate the uniframe for strength all the time. Some companies sell kits for the xj, which could help with the front. Google xj frame plating
  17. I'm running 33s on about 4 inches lift, stock 3.55s. Gearing is fine. 4.10s or 4.56s might be better but I never have trouble. Did have to cut the fenders. I'm still on stock control arms. Have drop brackets I haven't installed yet. No death wobble or any other problems. 4.5 backspacing wheels, rubs lcas at full lock.
  18. It's because of the way the taillights protrude from the body. similar effect from the opposite side.
  19. Mine is loud, too. It sounded like a turbine behind me. After I replaced the tank J-bolts and made sure the tank was very well mounted, it got quieter, so I suspect it was resonating weirdly through the tank, but either way, these pumps seem to just run loud. When it dies I think I'll install a fuel cell and an external pump for ease of maintenance and to prepare for an lq9 swap.
  20. So much want.
  21. I can't stand the drop in liners. Aside from looking bad, they trap moisture and dirt and wear through paint. If used long enough they can cause your bed to rot out. I don't have line-x on my MJ because it isn't nice enough to justify, but I had it on a Chevy 1500 I used to drive and it was excellent. My buddy has it in his Colorado and it holds up really well, looks good, and keep s stuff from sliding around too much. My MJ bed came with DIY bedliner. I'm not sure which brand, I suspect duplicolor or whatever, but it is garbage. It's not rubberized, it's a very course, abrasive texture that either scratches whatever you set on it or gets scraped and chips off the truck. I vote Line-x if you can swing it.
  22. I was planning on beefing up the d30 and swapping in a disc brake 8.8, but now I'm thinking I might go with the d44/9 inch from a bronco. I'm planning on going lsx though, so I'll want more strength. Right now I'm running 33s on stock axles and have plenty of ground clearance. Spadano is making nice rocker sliders.
