  1. Post office, way cheaper than UPS.
  2. I've been selling a fair amount of parts lately and I just want some guys to understand that shipping isn't cheap. I just shipped a spare tire winch to Ohio and it was $14.95. I made $30.05 profit on it so I don't think I was out of line.
  3. That's an idea, thanks.
  4. I'm not sure what all is inside the part that appears to be frozen. The Wd-40 seems to be soaking in so I would think it would eventually break loose.
  5. I'm busy today trying to get some odds and ends done. Ok, I'm wanting to post these mirrors for sale but I have an issue I think and i don't want to sell something that's not working right. I'm assuming once bolted on the door the aluminum frame should be able to pivot. Right now they seem to be frozen. I have soaked them with Wd-40 for about a week now and they haven't moved. I have put quite a bit of pressure on them and I don't want them to break. Any ideas?
  6. Mark, I do have one in good shape. Goes up and down as it should. How about $45 shipped?
  7. The '88 is a short and the '86 is long. I didn't think about that, thanks guys.
  8. I have a '86 and an '88 with different frames. Can someone explain why they are different in the X crossmember? The '86 is much larger. Metric ton? It does have an AMC 20 rear axle with 4.10 gears.
  9. Yea, I would be hesitant to put a new end on unless you have a way to crimp the piece that goes on the cable. I would hate to see it come off driving down the road. I think I have a good one if you are interested. Let me check tomorrow.
  10. I bought the coated headers, they at least looked nice and no problems other than collector gaskets failing. Last time I tried the copper gaskets and so far so good. They are Sanderson block huggers with $35 tacked on for good measure over internet prices.
  11. Novak's engine mounts are great. Super easy to install a sbc. I bought their radiator and it has had a couple leaks, grrr. If I had to do it over again I would go Ls. I think it would be overall much cheaper.
  12. White lithium is what I used. I had to spray some silicone in the tracks when I replaced all the rubber parts in mine to make it easier to roll up and down.
  13. The moron I paid to paint it bit me again. I also paid him to spray in a bedliner but he did such a crappy job I sanded it down and redid it. The only problem was I didn't sand it down to metal. It started peeling in spots so now I'm redoing it. He didn't even use a scotch brite pad to scuff it up. That dude sure saw me coming. It is a lot of work and it is messy as heck.
  14. We were there last year and Avatar was pretty cool. The lines were almost 2 hours though.
  15. D.C. is cool. The subway system is good. Lots of history in the area. South Carolina is nice and lots of historical things there. Boston's traffic is a nightmare. Lake Tahoe is amazing. Grand Canyon is worth the trip.
  16. Don't go to Hawaii if you aren't wanting to spend a fortune. We went in May and it was by far the most expensive vacation I've ever been on. Omaha has a very nice zoo. It will take a couple days to see it all if you really take it all in. Tennessee is one of our favorite spots to go to. Memphis and Nashville have some nice spots. Eastern part of state is beautiful.
  17. You should have played the lottery that day also. You don't get much luckier than that.
  18. Alexia, don't give up. I know you have a ton of time and money in this project. Maybe a step away will clear the mind. I was feeling frustrated when I put the fuel injection and distributor on and was having problems. One day good next bad. GRRRRR. I still have to adjust my IAC about once a month for some stupid reason (just did it last night) but then it runs great again. I need to take the fuse box apart and clean it real good because I think that was the problem with the distributor. But it's running good so maybe later. When you are innovating you are learning for the next guy to try what you did. Good luck.
  19. I never know what shift I'm working anymore but if I'm on days I'll just take a few hours off. I'll make it work.
  20. I live north of Cherryvale.
  21. Pete, if you stick to the original route you will literally be 1.25 miles north of my house. I live right south of Hwy 400 in Southeast Kansas. If you pass through stop by and I will fill your belly.
  22. $$$$$$$$ but nice. I know you have worked hard to make your truck nice. I'm happy for you.
  23. That looks really nice
