Keep in mind mud terrains will be loud and wear quickly as they are knobby and softer- 18 replies

$20,000 comanche!!!
88ComancheMitch replied to TieDyeJK8's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I came across this looking for mine. Been for sale for close to a year now. -
Haha. I have broken ignition, door locks, rear end went out, front hub bearings were out, exhaust manifold, and more since I've had mine. My resr window fell out the other day on the highway because the previous owner didn't install it properly. I have a long ways to go, it's worth it. The little things are the ones that bug you!

BDS xj long arm kit on an mj?
88ComancheMitch replied to moparcyco's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sounds be a direct bolt in. Everything is the same from the doors forward other than the cab frame itself (roof and sides of cab course). The suspension and everything under the front end its the same. I'm not 100% sure on skid plates...But I'm sure they're the same too from the cab forward. Essentially everything from the xj should fit an mj in terms of front suspension. -
Prefer the factory 3 pane. Someone has one I know! Mine literally fell out on the way home the other day...and didn't shatter.

New to Comanche. Rearend trouble
88ComancheMitch replied to Zac's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
They will fit. Have to relocate the spring perches to fit properly. Drive shaft might have to be shortened/lengthened. Wheel spacers to make the wheels set properly since the 8.8 is a little more narrow. They're a popular swap because they're easily found in 4.10/4.11/3.73 and posi units are common...and they have the same bolt pattern. -
Gauges maxed out after removing cluster

I know oil and temp run off resistance. I'm assuming gas does also. You have a wire grounded somewhere. -
I need a sliding rear window. I would prefer one that has the weatherstripping, but if not that's fine too. Shipping to 40118, Fairdale KY. I will also pick up if it's within an hour or so. I also have a solid rear window I'd trade. Thanks, Mitch

4.0L H.O. swap from '91 XJ to 87 MJ
88ComancheMitch replied to kazam's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a 88 truck, with a 98 motor. You can use renix wiring. Just have to use renix sensors. I'm learning, but I have a couple more sensor (temperature sensors) to hook up and I should have everything together. Truck runs great, once I got my vacuum leak fixed. I even put a 99+ intake manifold on it. -

Well. I limped home. I have to get the proper vacuum line size. It's still doing it, but there its a tiny vacuum leak at the throttle body for the map sensor. It's all I had sitting around to get me home -

Just unplugged o2. Didn't fix it. Waiting for the next parts store to get new vacuum lines -
