  1. Updates?
  2. I think he needs to adjust his ignition switch.
  3. I bought a set of 4 brand new Rough Country shocks off CL for $100 and I have been very happy with them. They gave me a lot smoother ride than the previous lift shocks I had on there before.
  4. There was 4 MJs at one time in my local pick n pull and all of them were in good shape. I find that the workers always dented or bent the rear bumpers when moving the Mjs into its finial resting spot. :fs1:

I've seen a really clean SWB pioneer with a small lift, 31's, and a nice tonneau cover around Waynesboro, PA a few times. I have tried to follow him but it's never worked out. I have been in my MJ and he looked right at me and I waived but I still have yet to talk to him. I'd say almost 100% of the time I find someone with a MJ they either don't care about it or want anything to do with an online forum. :fs1:
  6. They are a very nice wheel, they really look good on hornbrods Mj with those nice tires. I REALLY like the cowl hood too.
  7. I know this is a simple check but try entering any/all of the VINs on your MJ here. http://www.ilsos.gov/regstatus/
  8. Well if he ran the VIN on the dash and it came back with nothing than theres a problem. I don't see how running his VIN from the dash came back with nothing even if its not the correct VIN plate for his MJ. Like automan said please post your VIN from the dash and also look on the firewall(drivers side next to fender) and see if that plate is there and matches the dash. I am very interested in this and I will help you figure it out. I have a clean MD title with all three vin plates from a 92 XJ that I parted out and scrapped if anyone needs them.
  9. I'm not 100% positive but wouldn't lifting(SOA) require the drive shaft to be longer not shorter?
  10. I was at the Jeep show and saw that FC up close.. Very nice
  11. Do you know the name of the previous(titled) owner? Just write up a bill of sale from them to you..done
  12. Is it maybe the MAP sensor that was unplugged?
  13. I just went through this ordering parts from the idiots at the parts store. No matter how many times I told them what I needed they still tried to give me the wrong part! It is called inner tie rod AT pitman arm according to there computer.
  14. My guess would be that the rear is stock and the front is 2" coil springs. My truck sits level with a true 2" spacer in the front. I had to trim a little of the fender flare on the inside of wheel well to clear my 31s. No metal just a 1/2" of plastic flare on the INSIDE you can't even tell by looking at it.
  15. There ordered! The WJ LCAs is not something that I would need. They were double the price and this truck is strictly to work and back DD.
  16. I need LCAs and they have OMIX brand stock CAs for $60 bucks/pair. I was wondering if anyone has ordered from them before. That price seems way too cheap seeing as how there $95 each at auto stores.
  17. Even being from the Mid west it IS in New Hampshire now so there has to be some rust starting somewhere... Floors at least
  18. What about brake parts from rock auto? They have to be better than autozones junk.
  19. This truck was my second vehicle and now its my DD to work. (All highway because its better on gas than my XJ) I need new arms because I am not fighting swapping bushings in 22yo arms. I added 3" spacers so longer arms is a good idea but not necessary. Also I have a very limited budget so the cheaper the better.
  20. Ok the DW is back!! EVERYTHING in the front end is less than 1 1/2 years old, and YES it has been aligned. The only thing that is left is the control arms. The CAs are original 1989. Has anyone ever seen or used these LCAs before? http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Lift-Lowering-Kit-Rancho_18580432-P_1351_R|GRPCHASAMS_1326856273____ I have 3" of lift in the front so I should be good for lengh.
  21. I use Bosch filters and have also noticed a small bump in oil pressure.
  22. Does the compressor clutch spin or is it locked up? Are there any major leaks that you know of?
  23. Yes, I have about 6 delay modules in my tool-box. I also took it out of the MJ and swapped it in my XJ and it works. I just find it odd that without the delay box the wipers won't work at all.
  24. Thanks hornbrod, It is the 7 wire switch. What stumps me is that if I leave the black delay box plugged in the wipers work on low/high. If I remove the delay and plug the wires together nothing works. Even with a bad multi-function switch shouldn't the wipers still work on low/high with the wires plugged together?
  25. My father installed an XJ column into the 89 MJ with the wiper delay. Now he gave me the truck but the intermittent wipers won't work at all. The black box is installed under the dash and it works in my XJ so its good. If I remove the black box and just plug the two wires together the wipers won't function at all, but with the box installed they work on low and high only. What could cause this weird problem? I'm stumped.. :hmm:
